Ben and I recently finished up a new song in the studio called "Broke". We wrote this song a couple of years ago with our good friend and band leader Silas Stamey. It's a song that tells the story of every songwriter/artist that has moved to Nashville in hopes of breaking in the business. I can't count the number of times I would stress out about money because I spent $30 dollars on groceries for the week. We worked crappy jobs that would allow us to pursue music full time at night so to say the least we weren't raking in the money. "Going out to dinner" for us was a six inch subway sandwich without chips or a drink. Ben's debit card was once declined at the grocery store because he tried to buy a single bag of baked lays potato chips. Those were some of the best times of our lives. We were barely making it financially but we were doing what we loved to do and we grew tremendously as men and artists. Thanks for listening. Ted & Ben
