So on spring break my youth group went to Mexico on a mission trip. It was awesome. (Except for the sunburn that you can see in my photo!)

I'd never gone on a mission trip before. We helped build some houses for people, and put on a VBS program for kids in the area with a local church. i don't speak a lot of Spanish, but it was cool to see how that didn't matter -- somehow God allowed us to communicate!

we did pretty good as a team. we got along pretty well. it was neat because my youth leader had us all reading these devotion books before, during, and now after the trip. My friend Kelly helped make the books, so it was fun to read them. good stuff. it really helped me think about my purpose for going and now how to take what I learned to apply it to my life now.
