Sorry I missed you this time around, Tim.
I read someone's review of the show and it sounded even better than usual!

All the best for the bushfire benefit with the Enz, and thanks for doing it!

Well I just loved the show at the Basement - I was the one who 'saved the day' with the CD insert when you had that little memory lapse during Great Return, he he. I love that song even more now- makes me smile whenever I hear it! My son James was thrilled to see that you ARE real - I showed him his autographed Imaginary Kingdom CD and the photo of you & me and I think he believes me now ;-) He's also now listening to your other CDs, which is quite a breakthrough for him, and a relief for me (hey I love Imaginary Kingdom but variety is good too).

I took some nice pics that night - a few of them are on Meg Washington's facebook page but you probably have to be either her friend or mine to view them.
Is there some way to post them on here?

You Finns sure know how to pick a good support act - Missy Higgins hit the big time just after the Finn Bros tour and I hope Washington will too coz Meg's got talent.

Last weekend I had a surprise gift from hubby to escape the kids on my own to fly down to Melbourne and see "Poor Boy" and "Moonlight and Magnolias" (Bruce Beresford play starring my brother-in-law!) - lucky me!! My heart sank on Saturday night when Bruce told me that Guy Pearce was sick (or had no voice) and had cancelled Saturday's shows, but luckily Guy's voice returned and I got to see the show! And I just loved it. Saw Eddy Rayner and his wife there and he said you'd gone home on Saturday night. What a pity! I was sorry to have missed Sound Relief - I just didn't have enough notice... or time! I liked Poor Boy so much that I'm thinking of trying to see it again when the STC does it in a few months, and I've ordered the CD - I want "Into the Water" and also I've only got "In a Minor Key" on the original cassette!

Just got my Poor Boy CD in the mail and listened to it - so glad I bought it! I'd forgotten I don't have Underwater Mountain either (must have been broke when that came out!) and there's the bonus of the instrumental and supergroove versions of Poor Boy too. It's just a great reminder of the show and a really interesting compilation of songs with some common themes running through them. Nice, very nice. If anyone wants one, you can order it by calling (or visiting) the MTC, but I don't know how long they'll keep selling it now that the show is over - I expect the STC will sell it when they play begins there in July, though.
