Current mood:Cruising Flamenco Style!
Hey Everyone!
Hopped on a plane yesterday and I'm headed to Spain -- Barcelona to be exact -- where I'll be boarding the Norwegian Jewel – NCL's cruise line ship that motors around the Mediterranean. I'll be performing my solo Flamenco music in one of the venues on the ship.
We'll be making the roundabout journey for the next six weeks as follows:
Sunday: Cruise out of port in Barcelona
Monday: We spend the day at sea.
Tuesday: Arrive in Messina
Wednesday: We're in Naples/ Pompei
Thursday: We cruise into Rome (Civitavecchia)
Friday: We slip into Florence / Pisa (Livorno)
Saturday: We're haute in Cannes (or Nice)
Sunday: It's back to Barcelona and we start the circle of bon voyage all over again.
I'll return to California toward the end of August to perform at a private weekend event in Santa Barbara after which I should be headed down to Mexico to record a new CD – more on that later.

Since cruise schedules are pretty tight, I probably won't have too much time to spend in each city or when in port in Barcelona. If I'm going to be playing anywhere off the ship, I'll try to let everyone know where and when.
If anyone has any suggestions of some cool venues where I can check out the local music scene in the cities listed above (and as close to their respective ports as possible), please feel free to post the info in the comments section here on my myspace page.
