Adelaide MC Delta represents Australian hip hop internationally. In the wake of his critically acclaimed 2006 debut album The Lostralian (4/5 in Hip Hop Connection, UK), Delta toured the world, performing in Paris, Los Angeles and New York and adding to his already impressive black book of contacts while planting the seeds for a second album.

In 2007, he reunited with some old friends, trumpeter Dave Guy and guitarist Tom Brenneck. The duo had found global success as core members of the Sharon Jones-fronted Dap-Kings and played on the Mark Ronson-produced hits from Amy Winehouse’s breakthrough album Back To Black.

Guy and Brenneck joined with Mojo the Cinematic, multi-talented MC and vocalist of NY hip hop band Dujeous, and Apex, the band's bass guitarist, to weave a hardcore tapestry in the classic funk style of James Brown's 'Give it up or Turn it Loose' over Delta's stomping drum programming to create “The Lines”. A typically atypical song about the perils of infidelity, “The Lines” is our first taste of Delta’s new
opus, The Second Story.

The digital single comes packaged with “Fold ‘Em”, which finds Delta rejoining with revered UK beatmaker Mark B. Delta and Mark created The Lostralian together in London while the city was in havoc in the wake of 2005 underground bombings. “Fold ‘Em” is a true return to the form for the duo, who further refine their take on contemporary hardcore hip hop, blending intelligent lyricism with rugged beats.

These two tracks give a brief insight into The Second Story, which is due for release on Anzac Day, April 25th 2009. This album boasts a line up of artists and music that must be seen (or heard) to be believed.
