Hey Folks,

This is Nedra (Howard's daughter) posting on his behalf.

We had a Gravity rehearsal today and it dawned on me that the Gravity books are in some serious disarray and that SOMEONE with time and interest might actually be into putting these charts on the computer.

If you can imagine years of personal side notes and edits that refer to odd places... It can be pretty confusing for someone who is subbing or new to the band.

This would not likely be something we could work out for school credit, but I think it would be a great learning experience for anyone who is a tuba player or who is an arranger. It would be the best way I can imagine for an arranger to really get an idea of what can be done with this great horn.

What else could you get?

Hmmm... I'm sure we could work out a Gravity T-shirt... CDs... some lessons...?

This would be best suited for someone living in NY (or near enough to get here)!

Any takers? Hollar back!

This sounds like a golden opportunity...I'm serious. I'd be interested in this gig; I'm a euph player.

I'm pretty sure Howard has my number, but I'll give a call.

Oh, and yeah: lessons. I could sure use some lessons.

Seems like I'm a little late getting into this blog--If it were a while back, I'd volunteer and take lessons in return. Hope you found someone. I've got a couple of Howard's albums--love the charts, the players, the energy. I got hooked through the George Gruntz band--now I like Howard's work in and of itself.
