I was previously not a fan of the high school musical franchise, thinking they were corny and stupid. However, after I went to the Black Curtain, I'm finding myself humming the tunes of the catchy songs. My favourite bit in the movie was when Troy took his shirt off and my friend yelled out 'now your pants!'.....This movie really surprised me, and it's evident they had a larger budget as their productions are of much higher quality.......I'd see it again

The lights dimmed, the crowd hushed and then the amazing intro scene began. As the HSM3 logo appeared on the screen in its surreal fashion the crowd roared, and then came Zac Efron, I have never heard the whole cinema scream as much. At this moment I knew how big the expectations of this film were, and boy did it live up to them...High School Musical 3: Senior Year, is the third installment of its major Disney franchise. It is the first HSM film that has been shown on the big screen. It story kicks off at the Wildcats Basketball teams final, captained by Troy Bolton (Zac Efron). And living to the HSM tradition kicking off with its first song, Now or Never. This song is amazing and really gets you in the mood for the rest of the film. We see the characters confront for the first time the reality of having to leave each other and go their separate ways after the conclusion of this school year...This film has a few attributes which put it in front of its two previous films. Senior Year has the features of a Hollywood film. Some fantastic camera shots and a really creative way of adding the music scenes in. This film is a shot above the rest and puts the icing on the cake of the High School Musical franchise...And as a little spoiler, we actually get to watch them perform in their school musical for the first time in the franchise! HSM3 has a fantastic blend of music, humour and romance which really makes this film one worth seeing. I definitely will be seeing it again when it comes out in Cinemas around Australia on the 4th December...This film is worthy of 8 1/2 out of 10.

First of all I would like to thank myspace for letting us see it early and for free. High School Musical 3: Senior Year is an excellent prequel to the High School Musical franchise. The movie follows the usual HSM formula. Troy and Gabriella are together, Sharpay gets jealous and thinks up a plan to break them up and Gabriella has second thoughts but it all works out in the end. However the third time round there is a mini-Sharpay that leaves her feeling somewhat threatened at the end of the movie.....The movie seems to focus on more realistic values and events and overall flow nicely.....At the end it is all summed up very nicely and leaves the impression that it is the end of High School Musical. Leaving it there would be awesome, end it on a high note disney don't kill it with another movie.....Overall High School Musical 3: Senior Year is a must see for anyone who has ever thought of maybe liking HSM, this one will get you hooked.

I loved HSM and HSM2, and i knew that HSM3 was going to be great...As soon as Zac Efron's sweating face filled the giant screen, everyone in the audience was screaming. Me and my sister were actually crying, thats how excited we were. It was by far the best of the 3 HSMs. The songs were better, the plot was better and the scenes were better. I was actually sobbing at the end cos i knew there was not going to be any more HSM's with Zac and Vanessa and Chad etc...Everyone was staring at me.....lol.......I WAS THE BEST MOVIE EVER (i will like twilight more tho)

The loved the first HSM but was severly disappointed by HSM2 - i thought it was plain terrible and corny. but HSM3, was just as good, if not better than HSM - with catchy tunes and a sweet story line. i watched it with my friends, one cried three times through the whole movie :) and we all couldn't get the song 'Now or Never' out of our heads - IT'S STILL STUCK IN THERE :P....4.5 stars from me! it was just one of those brilliant feel-good movies which is perfect for just a day out with your friends.....x

As soon as that first image of Zac Efrons sexy face filled the screen, me and my friend grasped eachothers hands and didn't let go until the very end, only to relieve the lack of circulation... I think that is is by far the best out of the three and i can't wait till it hits the screens on thursday so i can see it again.. and again...Thanks so much to Black Curtain for letting me see my future husband before everyone else! hehe

I am a big fan of the high school musical franchise. i have to admit that i was worried about the 3rd one coming out on cinemas because the 2nd one would not have survived the criticism (even though the music side of it was still brilliant). ..Senior year was amazing. the singing and dancing was brilliant as usual but the acting went up a notch (i thought). Zac Effron was as usual, in his best form. i thought the movie was more like a tribute to all the high school musical fans so i appreciated that. The girls' outfits were cute especially Vanessa's. ..i can't wait for the dvd to come out...i give this movie 8 out 10.

I thought HSM3 delivered everything they are best known for - good times, the good-looking and a catchy soundtrack.

The attraction and chemistry between Zac (Troy) and Vanessa (Gabriella) jump out of the scream quite loudly, which makes it pleasant to watch. It reminds me of an innocent, pure, sweetheart-type of love, similar to that of a couple still on a 'honeymoon' phase. So it is very easy to get into their storyline and easy to feel the same type of torment they go through with the possibility of being split up for college. The situation is universal – there have been many who have felt the impending doom that comes with maybe losing someone you love.

The supporting cast were entertaining as well – bright young stars who make you feel like dancing right along with them. They’ve introduced a pairing between Ryan and Kelsi, which is refreshing to see but was not explored more, making it seem like it was just an added after-thought to take the focus off the main couple and ‘share’ the limelight with the others. Ashley’s Sharpay is as usual, over the top and exuberant, though despite her cattiness and scheming ways (and crazy pink obsessions), you actually root for her in the end when she meets her match.

Overall, the movie gives the impression that it is the end. It was big budget; appropriately for the big screen of course. So it did not at all fail at having fabulous outfits, big musical dance numbers and bright sunny locations. However, I am quite disappointed at how quickly Gabriella left. There she and Troy were, singing about being apart and the next thing you know, they really are. Where was the big goodbye? I guess they waited till the big reunion later on.
In that case, it is forgivable!

This movie is fun, fresh and soulful. Don’t watch it with an expectation it is a big sweeping epic just because it’s the third offering. Watch it because you want to reminisce about the good ol’ youngun days.

The movie, whilst not 100% appealing to me, was made enjoyable by the obvious pleasure and excitement from the younger members of the audience. The crowd reactions to certain parts of the movie were almost like a stage musical.

The movie itself was touching, humourous and certainly entertaining in parts as well as incredibly corny at times.

But the film series works with its target audience and is set to be here for a while longer yet.

I was expecting so much from this movie. I had been excited to go see it for months and i was counting down the days until it was going to come out. When i won the tickets i went abolutely nutters. I was at the theatre one hour earlier and was the first person in the theatre. Zac Efron's face appeared on the screen and i squealed like a six year old. I was probably the most excited person in the theatre, even more excited than the little kids who are expected to like it. Wearing my I LOVE TROY top and my EAST HIGH 14 WILDCATS jacket, which i made especially for the screening, i sat there in amazement watching each musical number, blowing my expectations out of the water...This movie stepped it up a thousand notches. It was awesome. I was more than happy with it and i have since gone and seen it 4 times more. High School Musical 3 had me in laughs and in tears. The best movie of the three and i possibly don't think they could've made a better movie, songs, dances and acting to end this High School Musical trilogy...Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!

im a huge fan of the high school musical movies and this one i personally think was the best of the 3. The songs are catchy, the plot is awesome and it was pretty funny. my favorite scene is at the end when troy announces what college he's going to go to then it cuts to the gym and chad goes "so i guess when we get our diploma's we're done here" and troy goes "who says we're getting diplomas" lol that cracks me up every time.

I love all the High school musical movies and i found that this was a great way to end the trio. The film answered all our questions about the characters and had a lovely ending that would put a smile on all viewers faces.
