It was really good!! Although i thought the film focused more on the Ron-Hermione-Lavender love triangle, and on Harry and Ginny a bit much, but i guess compared to the book, there wasn't time for all the nonsense Harry did.
I thought the scenes were a bit too dead, like with the grass and stuff.
The burrow scene was amazing, and i sat there feeling terrible for Molly.
The first scene with the death eaters was an amazing kick off, all that movement made me feel a bit dizzy :P
Uh, yet again, these stars are shining through! And although movies often let books down, where it mattered, this movie shined on the book, and yet it was a movie in itself rather than just the book-turned-movie. The movie did Dumbledore's death a lot of Justice, i got quite sad!
Thank you black curtain =D

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince surpassed my expectations by far.
I thought it was fantastic. Better than any of the other movies.
Loving to dark, grim atmosphere they've got going.
Can only hope the last Harry Potter movie is of this calibre, if not better.
:D

OMG soooo amazing! They didn't include the scene with Dumbledore's tomb and they missed some piticular parts of the plot. A slight dissapointment from a big fan of the books but others who haven't read it will love it. SPOILER: they burn down the Burrow; bastards!
P.s the Ginny/Harry kiss sucks. Couldn't even call it a kiss and they miss the Hippogriff on Harry's chest joke, for any-one who loves that bit.

The filming of it was just imaculate, some scenes were completely amazing and the acting by everyone was great. But after walking out I didn't feel as if the movie finished. You were kind of left in a confused state.

..just saw it.... 6/10.  i think the writers of the script need to go back to grade school.  it goes introduction, complication, climax, resolution.  not introduction, introduction, introduction, resolution..............gahh they ruined jk. rowlings masterpiece..

Eh, pretty disappointed. The first half of the movie was alright, having said that it was possibly the worst of them all when it comes to sticking to the books storyline. Harry&Ginny's kiss = fail; the cave scene was poorly done, and they cut out the final battle?!.. which means that bill isnt a half werewolf thing.

In 20years time i swear im going to redirect all of the films to give the books justice. Who cares if the movies are 5 hours long.. id still watch them. Just double the price of the tickets to compensate for the extended budget.

Harry potter six was watchable, not exactly rewatchable tho, boring at some points and no where near enough action unlike the earlier one's.

I was frustrated at first that they changed a lot from the book but the director had a lot more poetic lisence this time round. It was really clever. Definstely not what I expected. Funny and original. Best so far!!! Loved it!!!!!!

I didn't get tickets. But went to the midnight IMAX release.
I personally loved it. I think it had a good balance of comedy, romance and darkness...& despite reading HBP a million times, I was still on the edge of my seat for a lot of it, and jumped out of my seat when the inferi got a hold of Harry xD
My favourite parts of the movie were the love triangle between Ron, Lavender & Hermione. They dedicated quite a big portion of the movie to it, but I still wanted more. I also loved the way Harry reacted when he drunk the Liquid Luck, I couldn't stop laughing!
I think a lot of people are being overly critical of the film, there was definitely improvements that could of been made, particulary the Ginny/Harry relationship (I can't stand Ginny, and all the scenes between the two of them seemed unnatural and kind of pushed)...but overall the movie was brilliant & really entertaining. Definitely my favourite HP film so far.

I agree with quite a few of Abigay's comments (see below). I really enjoyed it, but i'm not sure if this was because i could hardly remember anything from the book. Probably, lol. But i have learnt to be lenient towards film adaptations of books as they never compare - the detail and description never completely come through in the movies. So by trying to just enjoy the movie and not compare it to the book (cos i've learnt that by doing so always ends in disappointment and dissatisfaction) here are my thoughts: the music and visual effects of the movie were very impressive - all that CGI looked awesome, and combined with the music composition really captivated my attention. I found the movie quite hilarious too, a nice contrast to the seriousness of the plot. I wish Ginny & Harry's kiss had a bit more 'oomph' - it was an anticlimax after all the built-up tension! Dumbledore's last scene was incredibly moving (i cried!). The ending was a little disappointing but i guess it was a cliffhanger and they couldn't really do much else i guess. It was a long movie but i didn't paticularly notice... it didn't drag too much. Overall throughly enjoyable! I'm going to reread the whole series now!

I Think it was perfect for the time frame thay had to work in, if you think about it to fit a 600 odd page book into 2 and a half hours is very difficult and they achieved the main storyline very well, at some times they had to add some extra scenes for it to make sense on film, but over all i think as well and creating another great harry potter film (and im my oppinion the best so far) they have created a Movie masterpiece not only to go with the Book, but to compliment it and add more meaning.
It was perfect and i cant wait for the Extended DVD Edition with all the added scenes.
:D

it was freaking brilliant...aside from the fact that harry and ginny's kiss sucked. that just was not cool. harry and cho got a full 1281978297489273 seconds. not cool david yates..
oh..and the final battle was kind of let down i think. it needed more battle. but you know.. it was still amazing. probably the best aside from the first two.
can't wait for the next two =D

While at the screening i thought it was good but afterwards i thought about all the stuff they missed yet they put in the whole weasley house thing which wasnt in the book. that annoyed me a fair bit. The movie itself was pretty good but it didnt reflect the ideas of the book that well.

it was bloody brilliant! it was actually hilarious. it had the main components of the book, but in a weird order, which made you think it didnt stick to the book, but it did. the plot only really took place in the last 45 minutes. the end wasnt as dramatic as the book, but the film was put together very very well. the music was fabulous and the stars were given the opportunity to show a different, more playful side to their characters. the plot got darker, but harry, ron and hermione get lighter. it was a very enjoyable movie, definately reccomended :)
