before anyone else asks a stupid question...

1. locations for the screenings are shown on the black curtain screening profile page. if you cant find it then...just look again.

2. your phone is (but usually isnt, eg: they never ask) handed in to cinema staff, ..AFTER.. staff check you have the sms ticket. you show the ticket on you phone screen, then they ask what your mobile number is (connect the correct ticket to the phone that the ticket belongs to)...that means you cant send the ticket to others (make duplicates etc.).

3. think about it. your mobile may be a recording device,  yet you never record movies (i hope) in the cinema. if you dont want to chance the loss of your phone, then dont come:)

4. if you want good seats, arrive early.

5. yes its free.

6. tickets normally go quickly. HP6 went in probably under a minute. remember black curtain has a following in the tens of thousands of members, and each cinema has about 250 seats.

goodluck on getting a ticket

It's extraordinary that the movie industry treats its customers like criminals and then wonders why the alternative is so attractive. Demand to see full security background checks of anyone who asks you to surrender your phone - if it's okay for them to treat you like a criminal then it's surely okay for you to make the same assumptions.

Besides that all the best torrents are leaked by people in the studios. Who'd be dumb enough to waste time a crap recording taken in a theatre?

its not such a bad thing guys, they bag your phone and other devices, seal them up and give you a number. there is no way anything can happen to them. when you leave the cinema, you give them the number and they give you back your phone.

I am curious on what they'd do if someone printed out their own numbers and took extra along to "claim" other phones. what liability insurance does black curtain offer there huh? at HP6 Indooroopilly so many kids (by kids I mean 13-16 year olds) were running crazy whilst leaving the cinema, and the table with all the envelopes was pretty crowded, I was kinda concerned by the lack of security watching all of the envelopes not to mention how close all the people were to easily grab what they want and run. They need to work out a better system.

I'd hate to rock up and find my phone had been stolen, I'd hate to see how they'd answer for themselves haha!
