I'm not talking about those with 'game', I mean the MySpace media players. It was brought to my attention that the player now 'allows' other users to add music to their profiles. Not a problem by itself except that before the person who put the music up had the choice to make their music available for adding or not - now that that choice has been taken away (and without seeking to consult or even inform the users) and added to the fact that the player makes most music played through it sound like crap (compared to the original file) anyway I have removed all my music from the MySpace player.
Not the end of the world, of course, but enough to piss me off big time. I overstand that this webspace is neither owned or even rented by me and, therefore, that the owners have the right to do with it what they see fit. However, the way this decision was made without even giving us fair warning, let alone the chance to air any objections is disrespectful to all MySpace users and leads me to wonder what else they're going to change (or, indeed, have already changed) without our knowledge or consent? So, is this Capitalism or Communism? I'll tell you what it is - FUCKRIES!
One Love, Spy!

** Okay, since I first wrote this, just days ago, the MySpace music player has undergone a major revision and, it seems, some further updates along the way. I have yet to find out if it's an improvement in terms of sound quality because so far I haven't been able to get one to actually play anything (on other people's profiles). However, I have noticed that they've brought back the ability to choose whether other users can add your music to their profile or not, which was the original source of annoyance for me. For that at least I'm grateful, but it doesn't change the point raised in the paragraph above - whether they'll be more informative next time they plan a major change like this one only time will tell. **
P.S. See Tom's blog on the new player here
