Many people ask us where the name Nine Lashes comes from.It comes from the instrument commonly thought to have been used on Christ before his crucifiction which was the "Cat of  Nine Tails".It had nine lashes on it with pieces of sharp bone that would tear into the flesh.Make no mistake Jesus received many more than nine lashes infact it was the Roman's soldiers job to bring a person very close to death thru this type of punishment before he went to the cross.Our name comes from Isaiah 53.In a world where many young folks are suffering they need to know what our  Lord went thru for them.It is a message of hope and a message of salvation that Nine Lashes conveys.It is simply Christ crucified for our sins and salvation in no other name.
