Vermont- damned, determined to impeach Bush..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Small towns, like Brattleboro and Marlboro have tried unsuccessfully to impeach President Bush. Even trying to pass a law that if President Bush or VP Cheney enters each town, they could be arrested.

Now, a woman running for Vermont Attorney General- Charlotte Dennett, says if elected, she will prosecute Bush for murder.

William Sorrel, who is the current Attorney General for Vermont and running for reelection, claims the Vermont AG cannot charge a random person for a crime- if the crime didn't take place within the state of Vermont.

(State Attorney General's are limited to crimes within their state.)

This isn't stopping progressive candidate- Charlotte Dennett. She claims that because the military actively recruited folks from Vermont, (and of course- "Bush lied and people died") this gives her the right to file charges.

An Attorney general can file charges for all kinds of stuff, whatever floats their boat. But it may never move forward.

First, she would have to prove why Vermont has the RIGHT to prosecute a person, when the said crime never took place within her state. Second, Bush lied: difficult to prove when so many other world leaders and professionals also believed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. (Trust me..!! If it could be proven that Bush lied, democrats would have brought on charges 3 years ago.)

As with many on the left, Charlotte Dennett's anger is misdirected. She is angry with President Bush for the War in Iraq. However, President Bush made no bones about what he wanted to do: Saddam needed to allow Hanns Blix to inspect all of Iraq, or Saddam would be removed.

If Charlotte Dennett is upset over the Iraq War, she should go after the democrats who voted with Bush to allow this war to take place. After all, why did she vote for these democrats if they are NOT going to protect her (anti-war) interests..??

I wonder if Charlotte Dennett will also go after President Madison for the War of 1812..??

Maybe then she could take after President Jefferson for the War with Tripoli..??

She would have problems prosecuting all three presidents:

President Bush received congressional approval to remove Saddam, and Saddam's military was shooting at American pilots- (which falls within constitutional authority for war.)

She would have problems prosecuting Madison and Jefferson because these men WROTE THE constitution that Charlotte Dennett is squatting down and pissing on.

(Plus, Madison and Jefferson are both dead.)
