if sleeping is dreaming and dreaming is you

I loved her…
and I love her still,
but my hunger'll never fill

I've heard a man can go three weeks without food;
so I never worry
And, to tell you the truth,
I've never truly starved

I'm optimistic…
but in my hands
there's an empty cup I'm trying to drink from
And I'd be lying to say that it's partially full,
but I'll try…

And plus, I've heard a man can go three days without liquid of any kind

But when I tried to lie,
all that I've said were words of you
Confessing my love's not what I wanted,
but it's all that I'm able to do
Closing my mouth
and holding my breath
because I can't go a minute…
without speaking of you

You know I've heard a man can go three minutes without breathing
Well, I hope that's somewhat true

But I'm tired and scared…
to dream anymore-
to dream anymore of these damn untruths
I'm lying alive. While lying, I lie
just lying here thinking of you

As no one really knows how many days without sleep
a person can really do
But I hope I never sleep
ever again…
if sleeping is dreaming and dreaming is you…

I loved her…
and I love her still,
but my hunger'll never fill...
But I hope I never sleep
ever again…
if sleeping is dreaming and dreaming is you…

How sad of you to think of one
One who does not sleep for you
One who can not breathe for you
One who can not dream for you
I've heard a man can go three weeks without food;
so you never worry
And, to tell you the truth,
you've never truly starved
Be you thee optimistic…
but in thy hands
an empty cup
can be partially full or can it not?
Be you thee optimistic…
hearing man can go three days without liquid of any kind
I tried to lie,
these words of you
Confessing love
Closing my mouth
holding my breath
because I can go a minute…
speaking of you
Confessing love
Closing my mouth
holding my breath
I've heard a man can go three minutes without breathing
I hope that's somewhat true
because I can go a minute…
speaking of you
I'm tired and scared…
to dream these damn untruths
lying alive, I lie
just lying days without sleep
can a person hope I never sleep
ever again…
if sleeping is dreaming and dreaming is you…
I sleep for the untruths
I sleep for the lie of you
Closing my mouth
holding my breath
I've heard a man can go three minutes without breathing
I hope that's somewhat true
because I can go a minute…
speaking of you with two minutes left...

You know how you can read every piece a poet writes, but only a few pieces really capture you? Well, i don't think i have come across one of your poems yet, that have bored me or haven't intrigued me in some kind of way. A lot of your work, is a lot of what people can relate to in many different ways and stages of their lives.. It doesn't matter whether it's the poem as a whole or a line or two, your words still make a difference.. Sometimes your words make me smile, make me teary, make me cry.. Sometimes they send a shiver down my spine, and if they give not a physical reaction they always make me think and teach me about the world around me.. They always have an effect on me! You may not have the fame of a historic poet yet, but in my eyes you somewhat deserve a lot of recognition for what you do and love.. Keep up the great work! I will always love to read and appreciate your poetry!

You asked us to pick one poem, so number one I read and then I had to read two
which led to three,
and just so you know
they all were very good
and I am glad I came to see
and I read all the poems
for each one is a song of its own
THANKS for sharing them with me :))
