Possibility's taught me that anything's possible. You can see anything and everything as one and the same. Positive spins or negative twists, they too are the same. Pretty much, EVERYTHING depends on how it's perceived and EVERYTHING can be an obstacle or an advantageous thing.

So... What are your ropes?

very very interesting imagery and analogy,,, my ropes are or seem to be chains,,,linked together on and on which return and link back to my very first link and then loop and retravel the same path,,,blessings...Cecil

Hmmmm, possibility, what a large wonderful place of being......I get the meaning, cause its not "good or bad", "right or wrong", but where life has taken us and yet to take us if we only allow and recognize. I am currently not in this world, for my own ropes have me at a disadvantage which i work through daily and the "love knots" they are strangling me, while i figure out how to undo them........such is life and we know its all part of the game, the game, life, i am but a player.

Honestly, I try to think that way.. say about 85% of the time, I say "it could work" or "it could happen" :) Nice writing as always!

It's a great poetic effort but shouldnt it be spelt 'taught'?
Not taut
Nice work

it's a play on words...

taught- to have learned

taut- having no give or slack : tightly drawn (a 'taut' rope); as in stubborness

no worries.... Thanks for reading.

INTERESTING

I LIKE ...POSSIBILITIES...IT CAN BE ANYTHING U WANT IT TO BE

AND THE MOST FASCINATING THING IS THAT...THE VERY SAME THING THAT U DISCOVERED AT ONE TIME...CAN HAVE A WHOLE NEW MEANING-- IF U CHANGE THE WAY U LOOK AT IT

I LOVE THIS PIECE!

How very Zen! Brilliant write, my friend. Much wisdom here. Love the theme of the rope...so many uses and yes possibilities! Very evocative, powerful poem. There's an easy flow to it also. Excellent on all levels.

My favorite.

Bravo!

This is fun, unbraiding the possibilities of rope as metaphor ... as a poem, though, I think it'd be stronger without the last line. Too editorial. No disrespect to whoever authored that one, but I'd cut it.

I really like this. We are made of so many different things and so many different gifts of life that it is sometimes hard to pull it all together to build who we are meant to be, and to know where we are meant to go. We can become unraveled so easily, but somehow we hold together. One day, we will bind together enough to be sheltered and unbreakable from the firse and blades of this world.

thank you.

Great way of wording it Jon! I couldn't of said it better. In fact, I don't think Shakespiere could have said it better. I love that poem!!
