Wow, marvellous, just marvellous. I love that the makers use the bodies. A lot of posters are very boring because they based on the famous faces. It suits the story's atmosphere.

I must say that I'm very excited to see this movie! I was a spoiled brat as a kid and had all the toys. Transformers the movie went over great so I guess they thought they would throw GI JOE into the mix of movies.
The funny thing is if this goes good what is Hasbro gonna make into a movie next, My little Ponnies? LOL!

I think the marquee actor would be Dennis Quaid as flynt, I would even say Ray Park has better acting credentials than that wash up Wayans, none of those Wayans have done anything worth two shits since in Living colour, this movie is gonna suck!!

Born on the Reservation/Raised on the Plantation

What you stated was both awesome and entertaining..yet serious. I really enjoyed your post. I completly understand where you are comming from. When I saw Marlon Wayans, I was disappointed. I said to myself "MARLON WAYANS IN GI JOE?" I don't mean any disrespect to him but the GI JOE I remember is not a comedy. These people just don't give a crap. They just want to ride the name GI. Joe to try and get at the pockets of those who grew up watching that show. I hate when they do Sh*t like that.

It's even worse than you think. This movie makes them a 'multi-national' force where members are all from different countries. The producers were afraid if they made it an American force (like the good old days) they wouldn't be able to sell this movie overseas.

no kidding, at least half of the people trashing the movie will still shell out the $10 to see it w/ their friends.. and about the changes, i'm glad they changed a few things from the 80s, i don't want to see people walking around in leg warmers and acid washed jeans... plus marlon wayans was damn good in Requiem for a Dream, so he does have some acting chops.

I also couldnt have said it better myself S.R.H. Charlotte!..The characters dont even look like the originals. And atleast one has pulled a Micheal Jackson and went from white to black.I bet Destro wont even wear a metal mask(which is part of his personality and being)..Im sure they changed up the backstory for all characters as well...Come see G.I Joe,A real American screw job.Coming to a theater near you...I mean come on,Marlon Wayans, are you serious?..

If people can't be nice about this then keep your traps closed and don't ruin it for those of us who want to see this. I thinks it's about time that movie makers make movies based in fiction and give people something to see. I for one am willing to see this movie due to the fact that it has been a long time coming. Enough said.

Nicely stated S.R.H Charlotte - I couldn't have said it better myself. This GI Joe movie I bet is going to be a mess. It's a pity because the original comic books 1-50 or so had some really good stories that could've been used for movie plots. How about a surprise appearance of Damon Wayans as Serpentor for a comedic touch?

Damon Wayans should be Roadblock....no wait.....Samuel L Jackson should be Roadblock. I think you guys should give the movie a chance and actually watch it before making quick judgments. It will be full of action and probably have some sort of terrorism plot. I don't think it will disappoint.

Ripcord was a white guy - at least my action figure was and he wore camo not black. How come all the Joes are wearing this S&M bondage attire? Only The Baroness and Snake Eyes (..and Destro) were the main characters wearing black. I have some serious reservations about this movie being made in our political correctness run amok, hyper sensitive society. I hope they are not filling race quotients by making white characters black and vice a versa.

as i remember there were atleast 3 black characters in the original cartoons i had the action figures too and in the later years when they started doing remakes they had done some more race exchanges on characters

That is what is called a "token" Various races are placed in movies and shows to make it unracist, if that's even a word.
Just like the little black kid Token in Southpark xD

Yeah.. I agree that their individual outfits made them special. In a way I'm dissapointed. But same time they felt it would look silly if they did it that way. Brendon Frasure (gung ho) said he didn't want to look like someone from the village people. Can't blame him. ie. took the Xmen movie route. Wear they all dress in black. Of course, they have to stick with the originals for more colorful characters like snake eyes, commander, storm shadow, etc. Can't get around that.

Well heres the deal. The story is set ten years in the future and Im assuming that the outfits they are wearing are some kind of ballistic armor. Kind of like how Batmans suit is. I have a beef with ripcord being Marlon Wayans cause he was a a white guy in the original.
Guess we will have to wait and see huh?
