Are you ready for Freddy? We can't believe it's been 25 years since Wes Craven's creepy gloved killer started invading our (and Johnny Depp's!) dreams. But when we heard that 'Watchmen' star Jackie Earle Haley was taking on the roll, we knew this re-imagining of the classic slasher was off to the right start. Check out the exclusive first shot of the new Freddy Krueger in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' below and tell us what you think! Are you excited for the movie to hit theaters in 2010?

religion is a belief system, revolving around a set of rules or guided beliefs in which a person defines existance or purpose.  These can include the ideas of creation, morality, a sense of duty or spirituality. the idealology of god or dieties has nothing to do with it.

False. To the general public and to religious scholars, religion is most often defined as this: A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects, Something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience which may determine if being shall be punished or rewarded. Containment of a God or Universal Mind now seperates religion from philisophic classes.

By your definition, freedom is a religion, socialism is a religion, racism is a religion, philosophy is a religion, artisticism is a religion, and there are thousands more. Evolution, is the belief that over time, all life-forms have the ability to exponentially gain size as time goes by as a result of a boost in reproduction or boost in ecological change, where in mutated/adapted life-forms whose genetic material is dominant until eventually the species of life hardly resembles it's farthest ancestors, in terms of physical traits AND mental capacity.
Nowhere in Evolution's definition does it mention a reason for life, a purpose for existance, a matter of ethics or even a God or Universal Mind. Believing in evolution, trusting in modern technology and science, is logical and rational, but it's not believing in a religion.

You said there are religions formed around Fanzi and Hitler? Those are called CULTS. Charles Manson was also the leader of a VERY large cult in the 1970s, and to them he was a GOD or at least an All-Knowing-God-Hearing man whom his followers would literally pray to and live by.

Buddhism at it's very core, is considered a philosophy by the monks who live according to the THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS of Siddartha (better known as Buddha).

Know what you are fucking talking about before you post quite a few comments that have you sounding WAY too confident and completely wrong in the most hilarious of ways. I believe you are a moron, my ethics tell me to prove you wrong, but do those things make my belief a religion? No you fucking moron, they are still just goddam opinions.

Thanks. Usually, looking back at the posts, I would be embaressed that I went on and on just to prove one person wrong about whatever topic and I wouldn't have posted such a lengthy comment, but even now, the thought of blind sheep following an artificial voice that stands in front of a harsh reality - it's a startling thought. Religion is the destructor of minds, the blender of adversity, the cause of war, the reason for arrogance and ignorance, and it IS the root of all evil.

You're the retard, because you can't even use correct grammar, let alone talk about science. Evolution isn't a theory anymore, it has been proven. It IS a religion. There are two definitions of 'religion', and neither of them say that there HAS to be a god.

"
..1.a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.....2.a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: ..the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.      "....

Ok then why dont you tell me who and when the theory of evolution has been proven. cause im pretty sure that would be big news for the rest of the world to know. I guess "science" is a relgion then. right? I wanna go to the church of the theory of evolution.  by the way u have fantastic grammar. Dushy Mccdusherton

on second thought, you may have a point. since religion is solely based on faith alone and is not factual. i guess the "theory" of evolution is just a belief too. but i wouldnt go as far as saying its a religion cause its not a uniform congragation where people follow and obey and worship. its not realy a belief system, its just a possible explanation.

Evolution in itself has been proven many times over. While it is true that human evolution is still a theory lacking some links in evidence, evolution can be observed on the microbiological level. This is how we get new strains of disease. Bacteria and viruses evolve very quickly and humans can monitor these evolutions. As species gain in complexity, the time it takes for an organism to evolve increases. It is therefore impossible to directly observe evolution in higher animal forms like primates, given our life spans. However, it seems entirely possible that life on earth all works in a similiar fashion. Thus as it was below (micro), so it is above (macro). Grok?

..Incredible language, I can only imagine your an equally eloquent and intelligent speaker in life.
I'm not sure what makes me feel worse, the fact that you managed to procreate, the fact that someone (as truly unattractive as you make yourself) was willing to procreate with you, or the fact that your child, with your obvious intelligence and grace, is most likely going to end up being just like you.

Congrats :)

PS, Next time you go and get yourself nocked up, I'd recommend ..visiting here.. to get that worked out.
Should be within driving range for you...
