Twilight is so over rated and a very bad read. Only two good parts in the whole book. Anything after Twilight is just another insult to films following a bad trend.

 

you are right jefferson but what is weird is that all but 2 of my male friends that read twilight were either already emotionally unstable, trying to get into a girls pants, or gay
 

obviously you can't read or didn't read the series. stephanie meyer's twilight series became popular BECAUSE you can't put any of the books down. new moon was the worst of the four and still a good read. as you can tell # 1 was my favorite on the movie list. HATERS KICK ROCKS
 

I read all the books to get an opinion on them. Every single time I wanted to throw it at the wall, and often did.

I can say with a full opinion, that Twilight does indeed suck.
 

i can put any book down i do not want to the only books i was ever able to put down was Of Mice And Men (probably the closest a movie has come to a movie) and also Watchmen,

OMg, I love twilight. I love the whole series. And New moon was 10X better than twilight. I am so glad they switched directors. No disappointments this time!!!

lol twilight was a bad movie. but new moon was 10x better. the books are absolutely amazing. so idk what the 2 good parts are in the book, cause all the books are good.

Twilight happened to be a very GOOD read!!!  I am not a Twi-hard fan or whatever the hell you call it, but I do have to acknowledge good literature and that series was very well written and in my opinion some of the best books I have read in a while!!  The first movie was OK, the second was much better and I am assuming that the movies will get progressively better!! (without making a 10 hour movie full of narration there is no way to fit all the details of the books, which is were I felt the movies were lacking)  If they weren't good then why did you read them?  Everyone has a right to their own opinion, I just felt the need to defend a talented author and the wonderful series she wrote!  

 

i do love the books and the movies but stephanie myers in all honesty is a *cough*hack*cough* crappy and repetitive writer! talk about over using a thesaurus! butttt totally love the books and the movies-TEAM JACOB!

 

I guess I am unaware of the fact that some people just have limited vocabulary but don't be jealous or hate on the fact that the writer actually has a vocabulary. Just because someone writes with "big" words doesn't mean she didn't already know them. Maybe you should pick up a dictionary and learn some.

amen! It really was one of the best series I have read in a while. I especially hate it when people who have never read the series or seen the movie say it is awful. so insane!..but yeah, I just love the books and the second movie was brilliant! ..
 

I tried reading the books just to see what all the noise was about..I couldn't finish the first chapter...
I normally read books like 1984,The Universe in a Nutshell,HHGTTG, The Mars Trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson, so reading horribly written prose was difficult to say the least .

 

It's about what if's. If only's. The writer had a dream and ran with it. It's not meant to be the best written books of the century or even the year. You'r supposed to read it and take yourself someone you've never been and will never have the chance to go. It's fantasy. Give it a chance and let it take you and you'll see what I am talking about.

It's so nice to see someone with a brain leaving a comment. I'm so sick of this series getting so much praise. It's completely ridiculous. This series has taken the idea of vampires and completely turned it into something that belongs in a romance novel. It's for teenage girls who feel that the world revolves around fantasy. They dream about dating one of the fictional characters. They hope and pray to one day find an "Edward" of their very own. In that respect, I think I must applaud the author because it would seem that she has done her job, good or bad, it's done. The fact that those of us with brains of our own didn't fall for her trite, just goes to show that people have different taste. I would just appreciate it if everyone would stop trying to shove this mockery of literature down my throat. It gives real authors with talent a bad name.

As a matter of fact, I write fantasy, general fiction, and even have my hand in a children's series. And no I will not provide you with my name. I don't want to have to take the time to delete your nasty comments and rude remarks from my website. And yes, I do know that reading is supposed to take you away from reality. Why do you think I write fantasy novels? But the point still stands. There is a difference between words on a page and talent. In my opinion, these books are not good and they appeal to teenagers and people who can't tell the difference between the real world and fantasy. However, this is only MY opinion. Just because I have one of those does not give anyone the right to attack me or what I like. In case you couldn't tell, there are many genres out there. There's a reason for that. PEOPLE LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS. Now, once again, I would appreciate it if everyone would stop trying to force feed me something that I have already spit back up. I don't like the books (which, by the way, means that I have attempted to read them and couldn't get through the first one). Keep in mind that I have not once said that everyone should have my taste in books, movies, or anything for that matter. All I have done is given my opinion. I'm entitled to that.
