I have been so incredibly busy this summer and am very behind on art blogging updates.
Now, excuses aside…
This is a piece I did at a party at Aperture Studios on Barrington St in May for fantasy art model
Drakaina Muse.
I did the piece back when my digital camera was not working
properly, and did not feel that any photos I took of the work did it
justice. No one at the event was able to get me pictures of the piece,
so.I held onto the painting to get a good shot when the faulty camera
was replaced. Now that I have a working camera, I have to play catchup!
I used metallic green and yellow paint to make this piece stand out.
Drakaina was busy being an absolutely delightful hostess and was rarely
within sight while I was painting this work, but I think her guests
enjoyed having a live painter present. This photo studio has an open
concept, and is naturally lit by large beautiful windows overlooking
Barrington St. Drakaina’s images were on every wall. There was a white
dog sniffing around people’s feet on a leash. Most guests were dressed
very fancy in lovely sexy dresses or sharp, dark suits. There was a
buffet table filled entirely with cake and candy.
You can view countless fantasy art images of Drakaina on her website:

She sells books, posters, etc of her fan art if you are interested.
She greatly appreciates artists who want to render an image of her in
your own style, so feel free to drop her a line.
