A few weeks ago a very good friend, quite concerned about the weight of the purse I have to carry everyday (and probably quite concerned about the complaining, too), offered me an ipod shuffle... you know, this little mp3 player that contains about 250 songs... and that is VERY light...? Well. I always thought it was a cool idea but I don't think I would have ever bought it myself. BUT now that I'm using it I'm really enjoying it ;).. Now, for those who don't know - there is a function called "random pick" or something, which hm... randomly picks (yeah!) some tunes on your computer to put them on the ipod... (I have quite a large library since i transfered pretty much all the records I've ever had - even the 'obscure' stuff, which you can't remember WHY you bought it in the first place... "what boyfriend actually got me into that music??") which means that, when you listen, 1-you never know what to expect 2- you cannot actually see who's performing and what the song is, because the ipod shuffle is too small and light to have that function (i guess?). So you find yourself with a mix of your favorite music, along with tracks like album tracks or compilation stuff you never knew about. Or you forgot about. On purpose. In other words, a great blind test. FUN. Very entertaining in the tube. I did that first random pick last weekend... Not all the tunes I actually enjoyed.. But some of them really caught my ear, either because I knew them and loved them already, either because they just touched me... :) So here is "A (short)list of the tunes that caught my ear in my ipod shuffle" - in no particular, 'shuffle' order...
