FLO RIDA, PLEASURE P, QUEST CREW & B-BOY JALEN - LA, CA - 04/05

In true MySpace Release fashion, Grammy Nominated Flo Rida called upon his celebrity MySpace friends to join him on stage to rock at his recent free show at the Roxy this past Sunday night celebrating the release of his sophomore album - R.O.O.T.S..

Because the show was sponsored by ADIDAS- MySpace Music had to incorporate other elements of Hip Hop culture into the show - including amazing b-boys/breakdancers. America's Best Dance Crew Season 3 winners QUEST CREW took their tricks to the stage and left the crowd in awe.
But it was B-Boy Jalen - 7 Year Old wonder who did every move a breakdancer wish they knew had to do!

Pleasure P rocked next - not forgetting to entertain the crowd with Pretty Ricky hits right before going into new songs like "Boyfriend #2" of his own solo album.
We all forget how many hits the guy had until he played them all!

The night ended with Flo Rida asking fans to throw their hands in the "Ayer, Ayer, Ayer..." He performed songs off his new album with Pleasure P and Wynter Gordon before going into his chart topping hits "Low" and "Right Round." Flavor Flav of Public Enemy stood on the stage, smiling and proud of his MySpace friend...Stay tuned for more memorable shows brought to you by our friends at Adidas including Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes in NYC!!!

Didn't make it out to the islands? Where should we go next? Who should we bring to you? Let us know by leaving us a comment and we'll see what we can do!

LUPE FIASCO - Honolulu, HI - December 27, 2007

Though a couple days late, the people of our 50th state received a Christmas gift from MySpace, Dig Lifestyles and KICKS HI that they will remember for a very, very long time. Both vacationers and locals of Honolulu, Hawaii were treated to a very special night with the one, the only, Lupe Fiasco. In his first ever visit to the islands, Lupe showcased his newest tracks from his recently released album, The Cool.

Hawaii's own Tassho Pearce, Jimmy Taco and DJ XL of Hot 93.9 got the party started, warming up the 1000+ in attendance at the sold out Pipeline Cafe. Uncontrollable holiday cheers belted out of the crowds' lungs as Lupe strutted onto the stage and opened with "Touch the Sky." The beats and the rhymes kept on coming and fans were treated to a grip of songs that included a remixed Gorillaz track and a special appearance by Matthew Santos as he and Lupe performed the smash hit, "Superstar.
"

Hands that were thrown up at the beginning of the show stayed up the entire night as Lupe and his crew delivered hit after hit. Those that were fortunate enough to be at Pipeline screamed and jumped with joy and excitement all night long, probably loud enough to wake Jolly Old Saint Nick from his much deserved R and R.

Wyclef Jean - Hollywood, CA December 4, 2007

Friends of MySpace Hip Hop and Wyclef Jean jolted to the Roxy on Sunset when news broke that tickets were available for a free show starring the Grammy winning refugee. Celebrating the release of his new album, Carnival II - Memoirs of an Immigrant, Wyclef created his own carnival that got the entire intimate crowd jumping on their feet the whole night.

DJ Knuckles warmed up the crowd with VIBE Verses winner Miss Nana. The audience didn't believe that a 16 year old can rock that hard! Wyclef brought up all of his special guests from around the world to join him on stage. He started the show by asking a fan he named the new "Wyclef" to recite line his lyrics for "We Trying to Stay Alive" while he joined in for adlibs. A true master of ceremony he gave every opportunity for the crowd to join him on stage for several songs.

Longtime fans who drove from as far as San Diego left the venue with feet hurting from non stop dancing and voices gone from cheering too loud. He took us on a musical journey that transpired through endless Fugee hits like "Ready Or Not" to his memorable solo songs like "Guantamera." A true delight was seeing never performed before songs from the new album such as "Sweetest Girl," "Hollywood Meets Bollywood" and "Selena" tribute. No wonder this man has taken over the world, he has embraced every culture and has made it his own.

Chamillionaire – The Release – 9-20-07

New York, New York IS the city of dreams and it was also the city chosen to host the inaugural show for MySpace's "The Release," a series of hip hop/urban concerts featuring today's freshest artists showcasing their latest masterpieces.

Armed with staple guns and flyers, street teams attacked the Chelsea neighborhood filling up 19th street along with the fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of our featured guest, the one and only, Chamillionaire.

Chamillionaire entered SPY's intimate stage with hype man Famous Ken and started busting out rhymes new and old with reckless abandon. Performing an eclectic mix of songs including his smash hit, the 1 rington seller of all time "Ridin Dirty." Fans couldn't help but sing along and wave their hands in the air to new songs from Ultimate Victory like "Industry Groupie" and "The Morning News." The highlight of the night came when two hip-hop legends Slick Rick and Ice-T joined Chamillionaire on stage.

Slick Rick got the crowd smiling and jumping with excitement with chanting "Go Slick Rick, Go Slick Rick GO!" The NY crowd was no stranger to "A Children's Story" which they sang along word for word with the icon. Ice-T showed everyone how it was done with a fierce and raw free style session that made mouths drop. "It takes alot to get me and Coco away from that X-Box 360" said Mr. Law and Order and we are glad he took the time to come out to the memorable event during All Hip Hop Week.

A big thanks to everyone that made this night possible even with the last minute venue change, Nancy Byron who went the extra miles for this one, Mook Diamond, Shampoo, All Hip Hop.com crew and staff, Tracy Nguyen and 5WPR, Chamillionaire and his crew for a kick-ass set, to Slick Rick for the added energy, to Ice-T for wowing the crowd and for bringing Coco, to Universal Records, to SPY for being a gracious host, to the vacuum tight security staff who kept everyone safe and to whoever brought the wings!!!

It was a truly unforgettable night, a perfect way for "The Release" to kick things off... Make sure you attend the next few shows and pick up your exclusive MySpace bandanas... check out the different styles in the gallery! What's Your Style?
