HEY Renee'
What a tragic loss the literary world has suffered. i was truly surprised that he was recognized as popularly as he was. I think it is due in part to his success as a Double Day Success story as well as a New York Times BestSeller. What people don't really realize is that he gave so much to black women in terms of education on men on the DL. Wheww who knew? When he first began in the early 90's, I remember a few people actually being repulsed by his writing and then finding that they were ignorant to the facts as well as the lifestyle. The fact that he later admitted to be gay and openly so, endeared him to me more. Gay people in this country are so often disrespected and misunderstood.I really just wanted to take time out & acknowledge your blog tribute because the information in his stories highlighted the lives of so many that we can never discount the validity of anyone's story. May he rest in peace. He was a beautiful human being. Have a great week. I am praying all is going well with you and your projects. How's the progress or should I say red tape of the book coming along? Making headway? I look forward to reading it, and supporting you in any way possible. All you gotta do is holla. I'll hear you. peace and love girl...
