Closer was an alright movie, it wasn't bad nor was it overly impressive. It was extremely odd to hear Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman of all people say such dirty dirty words. Not to say that when it came from Natalie Portman that it wasn't sexy...cause trust me, it was. Anyway, the movie itself was just a group of people debating whether they really loved each other and so forth and it carried on forever. They all have sex with one another...cheating, lieing, and the sorts. I am sure the movie has some sort of underlying theme or message, but really it just didn't make me like it enough to care. For one, I don't think anyone in this movie is likeable, as cute as Natalie Portman is...not even her character is likeable. Both of the male characters are assholes, so yeah...how can you feel sorry for them when their girlfriends (if that's what you would call them) end up leaving them and then coming and then leaving them and then coming back and.... Anyway, yeah. It's a decent rent. Nichols has done far better (ex: The Graduate). Next on the Netflix list is Tenebre, the Dario Argento thriller. Anyway, I've already seen it, but it's been awhile...so no review on that. I'll just wait until I get Burial Ground, which is some low budget zombie movie.
