Don Shelby has been doing In the Know for more than two years now. He has presented more than 570 of them. Now, he's turning the page and changing the name of the segment: Good To Know.

You see, In the Know sounded like I had the inside track on the truth. I thought the name would attract attacks from everyone who might disagree with my pronouncements from on high.

I say, in all modesty, I was absolutely right.

I have received thousands of e-mails from people who think I'm a wingnut, a lefty tree-hugger, and an apologist for the conservative administration. Democrats think I'm a Republican and vice versa.

So tonight we are changing the name, and I will endeavor to bring you important stuff that might be good to know ... but not from a know-it-all.

When I first started, I said I would keep doing it until you asked me to stop. OK, I've stopped In the Know. Welcome now, friends, to a whole different thing.

Now isn't that Good To Know?
