Next up on the Oct list is the Hope House Benefit to be held on the 29th at the 40 Watt Club here in Athens. A little background here; Hope House is a place for recovery and we've had a few people that were frequent faces in front of us faithfully, that found favorable fixing in the Hope House foundation on Finley St. One of those houses sustained considerable damage due to a fire. This is a benefit show to help absorb some of the cost of repairs needed to open that house back up.
I've been told that pre-sales are high, and I'd love to see the place filled up. Not so much for our sake, but because there have been people from that program that have made me feel like Music Hates You really meant something deep to them, and, well, Music Hates You is my own sort of Hope House. In other words, I want them to know they mean as much to me as this band means to them.
Price is $6, and the line-up is well worth that. You'll be seeing Hot Breath, Rorshak, Subrig Destroyer, and us for the same amount of money it takes to buy 2.5 gallons of gas. And believe me, you won't remember where you drove with that gas.
