October Sun
Standing under a winters sun it moves; rising toward the west In a rapid run like thousand times before.
Parabolic arc through steel blue sheeted sky; it’s warmth it gives away to distance, to Atmosphere and age.
Like a thousand times before it’s movement leaves gray deserted streets and an empty silent desert, and creatures sleeping.
The summer! lost to fleeting time pushing seasons past yesterday to embrace; the cold darkness at horizons blue black line. As the graying light at noon descend we huddled in a silent room awaiting the announcement of night; mourning loss of summer sun replaced by arrival of Halloween moon
Slate gray universe scratched by Payne gray hew, the October sun finished Chases its’ moon into the sky to search Sun’s embers, flinging them as stars into the sky We sit in a warm embrace before this October parade, with our fires waning in the hearth and embers dieing we send them to join the stars.
