Recently local music hero Mark Kopenits passed away, we didn't know him personally, but we knew OF him, and judging by the respect he had, he was a hell of a guy.

Long time TS friend Brent Miles has organized a fund raiser concert & raffle in his honor to be held @ the Ruby Room in a couple weeks.
You can get a little more info here:

As a teenager MARK KOPENITS entered Berklee College of Music where he was the 1st sophomore in the schools history to be accepted into audition only upper division classes. After only 2 1/2 years he graduated in the top 10% of his class and hit the road touring and recording with bands based out of New York, Boston and Los Angeles. In 1993 Mark founded "Gray Room Recording”, one of Arizona's most successful recording studios. . . .  He produced the much-anticipated solo release of Pistolaros guitarist/singer Mark Zubia and is currently in the studio working on Zubia's 2nd CD. Mark is the Coordinating Director of Scottsdale Community College's Audio Production Technologies and Music Business.

(we donated a T and some passes to a show SO BID HIGH!)
