I was just wondering how you guys actually record these things while you two are going through hell. How do you manage to pick up the camera and RECORD all these chaotic messes?
And also, this video is reflecting on the past right?
 

Yes. They are edited long after the situations took place. We tried editing them as they were happening. It was too difficult.
 

I think this is the realest seen yawl. when I started watching the episodes, I was like wow, yeah there were tears, but not enogh we've ugh.. almost in disbelief I wanted to yell, there are more emotions then you're letting on. These past episodes have been real, its relieving and sad at the same time. Part of me wanted it to finally surface and part of me wanted it do go a different path when yawl reached that fork in the road. but you chose the middle one. I might do a picture for yawl with that image. I think why people feel so connected to you is because of the reality. lots of pod casts are informational and funny and shit, but reality is left out. you have made podcasts into a short film. I love it. I love yawl and embrace yawl. I know you don't really know me. and i'm sorry I couldn't find a house for you in austin.

There are times when you're going through stuff in your life and you watch a movie or a show that you've been connecting with, because it opens what you're feeling more. It makes you feel t.v. comforted, like it was meant for you even though millions of other people see it too.

I feel like you guys lost you're own realities along the way. and in real life, you ARENT able to just go down your own path, you cant make a clean break. Loved the new episodes. Can't wait to see Episode 13! I like how honest you both are with your storytelling.
 

If you're reading this to deconnect from the real world to once again dive into a sea of myspace comments and reform that analytical process, once more unto the microscope, that's great, but I can't help but feel like this upcomming ending won't do justice to the entire series. take up all the money from the supprot funds and take it turn it back into people, the once who have watched this window of time and care enough to do their part, that's who might feel like I do, although "might" is a very ficle word, still it's that many people that might think they're missing out on something, like there's nothing that could really please them at this point but the bullshit fairytale ending that they know isn't comming. Like watching a spark burnning from a fuse that leads to a nursery full of little babies, and we all know those babies will do in a horrorific way, but we want so badly for something to snuf that little spark that seems so far away and let the babies be with their mothers again. I think this analogy works best since this world no longer belongs to you. You see in the begining it may have been that those who followed were your babies. Now YOU are OUR baby and unfortunately for you, we are terrible parents since you are our first born. So, this is where the analytical process which you've come to love, does you in. Now more than ever you face the critical thoughts of an entire nation. But the forementioned concept must ceep you going somehow, BRILLIANTLY!!!! You must no better than anyone (if you love something let it go) how it is to love something that has a bitter outcome,
and now so do we.

think of it this way, once the USA becomes a communist dictatorship, love will be nothing more than a day in February, but for now, it's a force that drives every direction and event in your story, for better or worse, we do love.

I thinks its really sad that making this movie pretty much more or less destroyed your relationship together. how susan had to exploit herself, how you got in a shit load of debt, how you've been obsessive over this project. your dedication has been amazing, its just sad to look at the DVD and then think ''this totally destroyed arin and susan''. I never herd you two say 'i love you'. i dnt think?
 

I don't believe Susan was truly exploiting herself. I believe that she was exploring a part of herself that she never dared to before...had fun and made money in the process.

On another subject...I found it interesting that Susan was looking for someone like Arin but who fulfilled something that might have been missing from Arin's personality or actions. People stray because of something that is lacking. Arin and Susan's feelings are obvious whether or not they say the words "I love you." I understand how difficult it is when you get past the "honeymoon period" and how confusing and depressing it can be to think "god, I just want to be away from you" even when you know you love that person. It's hard and you feel guilty for the nasty thoughts...but it's all natural. You spend so much time together, you are bound to hate the little annoying things you could brush off previously. I see alot of my own relationship in theirs. Luckily, we aren't working on something that may be bigger than the both of us like they are...something all encompassing that you forget why you are even there in the first place.
 

I guess you both are still alive, since you mentioned in your last post that you edit this stuff way after the fact, rather than when it was going on. I'm hoping your relationship, as tumultuous as it may be, turns out to be more of the Liz and Richard variety and not one where Erin finally cracks and takes an axe to Susan. Seriously, I hope Erin finds someone else to help take pressure off of Susan (also maybe open her eyes as to what she might lose--again, she may realize that Erin is not for her but at least it won't be such a kick in the nuts if things go completely south for you two) and more importantly, it will give Erin a little power over his own destiny by not having all his eggs in Susan's basket. And what happened with the recall? Why did they send them back?
