I've been sick these past two weeks, an ear infection at first and now a cold has joined it. I'm refusing to let it slow me down though and last week I wrote like a demon (excuse the pun) and finally found my flow on
Winter's Kiss. This is a story that I've wanted to write for quite a while now so it feels great to see it finally becoming a reality. I'll have to write a few non-Vampires Realm stories after this, but I'm gagging to write another story in the series and I have a few to choose from. Last week I wrote in every available minute, well, every minute when I wasn't at home. I even snagged 30 minutes each morning in starbucks and a little time after work on one day too. In the end I managed to hammer out 31000 words of
Winter's Kiss, which leaves me around 20000 to write.
I'm excited about this story but it has been hard to write, probably because it's not a story where I get to throw characters together. There's the law placing a barrier between them and since Winter is a little like Valentine in his respect for the law and his duty, he's not caving! Well, he's kinda caving now. I can't wait to get writing this story again tomorrow.
Here's the new tally...
Winters Kiss
45,983 / 65,000
[70.7%]
I'm also working hard on getting the content together for After Dark, my Vampires Realm newsletter, as this is being turned into a monthly affair for the next few months in the run up to the release of
Seventh Circle and then
Winter's Kiss.
