Current mood:alright i guess, just so much to do Category: Life
scribbled this down a few years back, came across it recently, made me laugh...
whiskey is a lot like tom waits, basically it has to grow on you. at first you wonder, "how in the hell could anyone actually enjoy this, drink it by choice?" but you keep meeting these people who assure you it's an acquired taste, you'll actually like it eventually, it will grow on you. have you had single malts or just blends? have you heard nighthawks at the diner? have you tried it with a little water? maybe you should start with the heart of saturday night. maybe you're more of a bourbon guy? scotch? maybe you'd like rain dogs better then? it may be too much for you at first. don't start with black rider. and before you know what hit you you're laying in the middle of the floor, sprawled out on your back alone in the wee hours of the morning with a glass of jameson listening to frank's wild years wishing you could play the accordion.
i don't drink whiskey anymore...
