Banzai Underground was formed with one thought in mind: A concert should be as much fun for the fans, as it is for the band!

Banzai Underground is an alternative-pop oriented rock band, located in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Northern Virginia. It was put together by lead singer/guitarist Rich Hostelley formerly of Jar of Souls. It is now comprised of Stu Saiki guitarist from PTC, bassist Larry Spring of Pinch Weasel, & drummer Carrol (Never say 5-0 around a black man) Newman.  And, the Banzai Kitty (meow).

Along with our diverse catalog of covers, we are currently writing original songs for our enthusiastic following. Our fan base consists of everyone from college students to soccer moms. We cater to people who want to enjoy a night out with friends dancing & listening to talented musicians perform energetic, groove filled melodic tunes. With that philosophy in mind, we built a group dedicated to creating a musical experience to be enjoyed by everyone.
