Your favorite Degrassi characters unite for a star-studded adventure in the land of dreams. Degrassi Goes Hollywood follows Manny (Cassie Steele), Paige (Lauren Collins) and Ellie (Stacey Farber) on their roads to self-discovery and happiness during life after Degrassi High. Current and former Degrassi High students cross paths with the announcement of open auditions for the highly anticipated movie, “Mewesical High,” directed by Jason Mewes. Manny, a theater major at Smithdale University, would do anything for a shot at the big screen. To her, “Musical High” is the perfect opportunity to finally live out her dream of being famous. But her jealous boyfriend – who also happens to be the university drama professor – is intent on killing this dream. Paige now lives in L.A., working as the assistant to a publicity-obsessed reality television star, while trying to jumpstart her career as a stylist. In an unexpected twist of fate, Paige is cast by the “Mewesical High” producer as the movie’s lead role, Trixie. Suddenly it seems Paige is receiving more than her share of Hollywood shine, but she’s struggling not to lose herself in the process. Ellie, excited about Paige’s new role, hops on a plane to LA with Marco (Adamo Ruggiero) to celebrate and reunite with their old roommate. However, family troubles back at home might prevent Ellie from being the supportive friend Paige needs during this overwhelming time. In Degrassi Goes Hollywood, Manny, Paige and Ellie face some of their greatest challenges yet – ultimately learning that true friendships and loving family can see you through any hurdle.
Premieres Friday 8/14 at 8pm ET on the N.
