Good to hear from you again (long time no hear).  Saw you on American Idol last night (the finale).  I think Taylor is definitely the favourite.  Guess we'll find out tonight.  I'm sure whoever loses will get a recording deal anyway.

I read in one of your interviews that you weren't agreeing with your record company.  Thing's happen for a reason and I'm sure a better deal will come along when you least expect it.  There's no point compromising yourself for something you're not going to be happy with.   Hopefully something comes up soon for you as I'm dying to hear some new material from you.

Sorry to hear that you left wb records. It's too bad cause they're missing out on a great opportunity, but I guess they didn't see that. I'm sure another record label will be more than happy to have you.

At least you're still having fun despite what has happened between you and them.

With all the expectations you bear upon your shoulders, no wonder you are feeling so tired. There is no need to apologise for not writing sooner - plz don't feel writing blog entries as a chore - I'm sure everyone understands if you feel drained and haven't written.

That being said, thank you so much for making the effort still. And also, where is your next album which we are all waiting so eagerly for?? Why is it taking so long? Just kidding.

It is great to know that you get those precious moments of time out to recharge. Music is such a great escape for that.

I think you have much to be proud about. Being in Australia, I haven't had the opportunity to see your theatre performances. But your "So Real" album will always remain one of my favourites.

I am glad you are happy working on your movie. It is crazy to hear about how you are honored to write with a band and yet you are  such an awesome artist yourself.

I bet you have  a little more peace knowing that you can do your music your way not  the ways of another. I am happy for you.

Mandy-I totally respect your choice to seperate from your record label.  I'm not sure if you're a fan of Hanson or not, but they did the same thing and created their own label (and went on to produce one of the most successful independently released albums ever)  Sounds like that might be an option for you!  Obviously not an easy road, but a great way to preserve your vision for what you what your music to be!  Anyways, just wanted to drop by and say hi...hope all is well with you!

Oh, also, your Elle cover is gorgeous!  Nice job!

Good hearing from you Mandy, as always. Sounds like you are having a BLAST on your new movie, but who couldn't...I mean you are working with Robin Williams. I hope the fun continues and I can't wait to see it.

As far as the record label thing goes, I think ALL the labels out there are idiots for letting someone as talented as you float around. If I had a company, I'd scoop you up immediately, haha. But seriously, I really, really hope you find someplace that respects your vision and talent, and is as excited as all of your fans to hear your new music. Take your time, because when you finally do get to make your record, it will be that much more amazing...and who knows, maybe you won't have any films going on, so you can tour ;) Either way, I know I am excited.

Gutted about the album :(

I totally understand why you had to follow your heart and stand your ground about the direction of the album, and to be honest I'm shocked that your record companies don't seem to be treating you well, when you're so talented and an absolute star. Coverage is one of my top 3 albums of all time (and believe me, I have hundreds of albums!!). Also I loved the 'Hey' demo on your site and was excited about hearing the final version.

But hey, it'll come good in the end - everything happens for a reason. Stay happy :D Looking forward to the new films!
