Butterfly Boucher est une artiste que j'adore depuis que je l'ai vu et rencontré à l'Olympia (Paris) en 2005 quand elle faisait la première partie de Sarah Mclachlan. Depuis, je n'ai sans cesse attendu qu'elle sorte un nouvel album et j'ai toujours suivie ses petits délires en video sur son channel youtube. Cette femme a un sens de l'humour que j'adore, très second degré, ne se prend pas au sérieux. C'est un peu comme ça que je suis très souvent, donc j'ai sauté sur l'occasion de participer au concours "Karaoké" pour la chanson "Gun for a tongue" qui provient du prochain album "Scary Fragile". .. La première vidéo, c'est elle qui s'auto-ridiculise et donc nous invite à en faire de même. La deuxième vidéo est notre création (mon amie Sandra Poulain m'a beaucoup aidé...merci!! Elle aussi avait participé à un concours sur Kerli et a gagné!) On a tout d'abord enregistré la chanson, petits bouts par petits bouts en gardant les meilleures prises. Par la suite, j'ai tenté de créer une mini présentation visuelle avec quelques accessoires personnels et je chante en playback. Cela a l'air simple, mais franchement...ça ne l'était pas!! En tout cas c'était super amusant à faire. Évidemment, j'espère gagner, mais le but fut surtout pour moi qu'elle visionne ce montage. Les résultats seront annoncés le 1er ou 2 Juin. Butterfly Boucher is a singer that I love since I saw and met her at the Olympia (Paris) on year 2005 when she was the support act for Sarah Mclachlan. Since then, I always looked forward to a new album and was following her funny videos on Youtube. This lady is so funny, she's got a great sense of humor, she's always kidding and doesn't act serious. I'm a bit like that in my everyday life so I didn't hesitate to be a contestant for the "Gun for a Tongue, Karaoke contest"; a song which will be on the upcoming "Scary Fragile" album. .. The first video is about her, she's inviting us to be fools! The second video is our footage (my friend Sandra Poulain helped and pushed me a lot...thanks! She was also a contestant for the "Kerli contest" and she won!) Well, we first made a recording session for the song, step by step and then we filmed. I sing totally playback and tried to act crazy. It sounds simple but it was not! At least it was really funny and lovely to do such a thing! Of course, I'd like to win but my goal is just for her to see this footage.
