the other day i drove by a car abandoned on the side of the road. not unusual, but the part that amused me is they had written across the windshield in big vinyl letters 'your car sucks'. and i said to them - maybe, but at least its moving. though if i don't take it to the shop, soon it won't be either. maybe the other car knew that. something to consider.

took jacob to go see 'hoot' tonight. it was pretty good in that 'because of winn dixie' sort of way. we're ready to take on all the evil developers now. its interesting that jimmy buffett was the producer, and the movie talks about the developers taking over florida and bringing 'goober tourists' and ruining the beaches. i seem to remember seeing a margaritaville restaurant in key west. and orlando. and new orleans. and las vegas.... i think jb has probably lured more goobers here than any other single person. don't get me wrong. i'll still listen to his sweet music.
