Hello Sonic PR People,

Perhaps you can help me out.  I see Sonic commercials in heavy rotation on cable TV here in Pittsburgh, and each time I go to your website, the closes sonic is over 150 miles away in Athens, OH.  Why must you taunt me?  The food looks great.  I'd love to see one in the area.  Is this going to happen any time soon?  I have no current plans to venture into Ohio any time soon, and with gas prices I can't afford to make the drive just for some Sonic Burgers.  Please, put a Sonic in the Pittsburgh area, or stop toying with us via cable television!

Yeah, there was no effort at all on their part.  Why advertise nationally unless you've got plans to actively move into an area?

Checkers/Rallys is better anyway I bet.

to create a demand incase they do move into the area. they're most likely a franchise and it's up to someone around here to buy a franchise. But if they don't advertise nationaly then people wouldn't know about them to buy franchises. Not to mention the fact that if you are ever on vacation and you see a Sonic you will more than likley pull over and eat there.
