NY math: 50 shots + 1 unarmed man = 3 aquittals.

Shoot a nigga in the back. Shoot a nigga in his soles. Choke, beat, harass. Shove a plunger up his ass. NYPD, baby. Widowmakers, niggabreakers.

Stay in tonight, loved ones.

Well, we the chosen remain unafraid and unapologetic for any alleged actions taken by our brothers. We will continue to struggle and walk the streets proud of our heritage and culture. It is we who emcompass the embodiment of BLACK PRIDE! and promise to contimnue to exemplify ourselves as the WARRIORS AND HUMANITARIANS that we are. We only ask that the righteous among us remain steadfast, train, study and never capitualte IN OUR UNITY AND SUPPORT FOR OUR brothers and sisters.. BLACK POWER!

not legal just tolerated, and not just tolerated but we think we are powerless against a system that doesn't want to change and is not forced to change. judges are not investigated by the pubic before they take office and when shit like this happens they keep their jobs and are never forced to step down from office and the bureau of internal affairs that investigates the actions of cops seems to have their hands tied and/or maybe as corrupt as the people they investigate. plus the attention span of the general pubic isn't long enough to keep events like this in our memory and are too often to busy trying to make a living in this capitalist society to even be aware that something like this has even happened. we live a country with a media that is too easily blacked out. should i be thankful for the court of appeals or will they be forever set free.

I find it interesting that you can relate to the Bell case at all! reading some of your diatribes I got the feeling that you saw yourself as some exception to the cultural rule.

I'm one of those Obamapaths you spoke about. I still feel he will win , not because he's black, but because he is qualified. remember he has damn near the same voting record as Clinton! except he has actually has done some hard working , rolled up sleeve work in the community. His comment was actually in support of the people he was asked about and was turned upside down.

See, the politics of personal attack. I question your candidate's electability and character based upon substantive issues, and you attack my sense of cultural identity.

And in another, non-political post no less. It's innappropriate and in poor taste. If you want to dialogue about politics, in a mature way, then please reply to the applicable post. This space is for discussing the injustice of this young man who's life was snuffed out.

And if you assume that this is ONLY about race, or that only black people are outraged by this, you just might be misidentifying your own racist feelings as a healthy cultural identity.

But race is a biological myth. This is a perceptual illusion created by thought.

Perceptual illusions become effectively real if the collective psyche of a population believes it to be real regardless of what the actual fact may be. It has been said that talk is cheap. No talk is not cheap, talk is absolutely free. Actions ultimately determine what is real in a persons mind regardless of what comes out of a persons mouth. The words in the written law are not cheap, they are free, and it is ultimatley which laws are earnestly enforced that establishes what is legal and what is not.

It is soo sad that that beautiful baby will never know her real Father. It is sad when a man can't go out and have a bachelor party without someone thinking that you are up to something.

The comedian John Weatherspoon said and I quote

"A Blackman would bring the troops home Iraq and Afghanistan"

"A Nigger would 25,000 more troop Iraq and Afghanistan"

the moral to this story is that there are Nigga's in the Whitehouse, and on the Police force.
So watch your back!!! White folks too!!!

My thoughts and prayers have been with his wife and baby! Let's not forget that not only did they deprive a man of his life, a child of her father and a lady of her man, but with the stoke of a pen, they have pitted us against one another which quite frankly is how, I think, that they want us. History shows that when we are united, harmonious, we can accomplish great things. But a nation divided will forever be ruled by the few, with the larger majority suffering.

Thanks for the post and your thoughts.
Now it's time for me to write!

We expected something different? Of course not, the headline sounded like a 1957 Mississippi newspaper where the police always walked. New York City and Los Angeles, Negroes are always in season. What can change it? US! This is something most non-black Americans yave trouble speaking about. Conservtive politicians have sold the idea that the United States' playing field is now level when nothing could be further from the truth. Every African American in the United States knows it, has known it or will soon find out. This subject only comes up when a gross miscarriage of justice comes about in New York or Los Angeles, but there have been cases in Milwaukee, Tulsa, Dallas, Kansas City, Omaha, not to mention numerous jump & shot townships throughout the South and Southwest. There needs to be a real discussion about race--politicians are not invited or any other persons capable of speaking fom both sides of their mouths.

This man had two beautiful young women in his life, and they looked very excited to be with him. It is so sad they will never have that moment again. Some police are not in tune with their communities, and if they are in fear than maybe they should become Bus Drivers. However, if they are trigger happy send their ass to Iraq. Over there they shot back.

Hello beautiful, intellegent, sister, that I rarely agree with! This is nothing new and we should not be surprised. We all hear about this happening at least twice a year. The thing that saddens me the most is all the stuff we don't hear about. It more than just the shootings and being dragged to death behind a pick-up truck in Texas. It's the policies that are created and passed to systematically stifle black men, imprison them(thus loosing their rights in most states), and make them targets for supremist opps I meant police. The intent of this country at its inception was to build a commerce on the backs of free/cheap labor. The only way to ensure that labor force, is to control thus destroy the image of the (black) male. We see this happening on several levels.

Colleges: Most HBCU's are land grant schools, meaning that they are public universities governed by a state board. Note that HBCU's were only alotted 1/3 of the monies given to white schools (a set up for failure). Yet they have produced some of the greatest minds this country has seen and provide a large amount of black men with an oppurtunity to improve themselves. Well for some 20 years these institutions have been under attack, and being forced to alter their demographics or risk loosing Gov. funding. Example: I graduated From TennesseeStateUniversity. The Tenn. board of regions has been and continues to pressure Tsu to reach a quota of 50% white and 50%other (student population) "Yes you read it right" and Yes TSU is an almost all black university. Even more disturbing is that the white students who have a 2.5 GPA can get a "Full" Minority Scholarship. But if i go down the street to Middle Tenn State University with a 3.0 the want give my black ass nothing but some work aid. To make matters worse,......major white universities are are reversing their affirmative action clauses and they continue to receive Gov. funding....Proposition 209 in California is an example of that.

Court System: Here in Georgia a high school senior(17 at the time) was charged and jailed for getting some head at a party from a Sophemore who had already been caught once before. Actually there were 2 girls doing it to 6 guys and it was consint and video taped. Neither girl or their families pressed charges. The district Attorney pressed charges...did I leave out that the guys were black and the girls were white? The young man was not only academically sound, he was the star basketball player and lost all of his shcolorships and spent 2 years in an adult prison facility! He would have been in there longer if we wouldn't have protested in such large numbers. Side bar: A white teacher was found to be having sex with a black student in the same school county. He got fired and probation! What the f@k. The courts said it was due to a "Soddomy Act" which basically grants a stiffer penalty for sex with out the intent to procreate. It was actually set up to try and ban gay sex and was reversed after the young mans trial went to court but it wasn't retro-active.

Media: When was the last time you heard or saw positive things continueously in the media about black men or women. The media feeds us Michael Vick (who is an idiot by the way), and more trash everyday even in the description of crimes. Example when talking about a white man you hear " A 5'11 male with dark hair shot up an entire school house........some sources say that he has a history of depression.............." When talking about a black man " A fairly large 5'll BLACK male shot ---one person-- in the arm after a heated arguement...........and then they show the picture!...............this takes the count up to 100 black men arrested this year ............." What's even worse is that when a black man says something that is simple that truth whick no one (including too many black people) wants to hear, all of the sudden he's labeled a agitator, a conspiracy theorist, militant, unpatriotic.

All of this sends a message to society as a whole that "black men ain't shit" Thats how they see us, that's how black women see us, that's how we see each other. Just wild, worthless animals, parasites feeding off of everybody else. See this is the same propoganda the Nazi's used to justify killing off the alleged "Jews", The same propoganda European countries used to justify dividing up Africa umongst themselves, the same propaganda used to justify killing off Native Americans and enslaving africans. Its interesting however to note that dispite all the character assasination that has taken place over the years toward minoriities in an attempt to make them appear savage, "O'l Masta still find his way down to the slave huts to rape and manipulate our women". Oh yes that shit is still happening too...just open your eyes.

I asked my dad, "how do you keep your cool how do you avoid being as angry and as frustrated and I can get sometimes." He said "I live my life by 2 rules, never argue with a fool, and never allow someone elses opinion to dictate how you feel about yourself" I would like to add that we have to start controlling hour own minds and our on dollars. We can't afford to allow the oppressor to tell us how to think or spend. We have to be armed to protect our families. We have to stop making excuses for fking up and being lazy...we all know that the playing field is uneven......get over it, don't allow it to handicap your progress. We have to find it in our hearts to love each other despite each other, We have to expect and demand the best of each other, We have to thurst for knowledge of self and balance. We have to change our diets and exercise. Lastly we have to stop trying to fit in and be excepted all the da@ time.
That shit is for the birds!

Oh yea, Gov. Sunny Perdue just made it legal for citizens to carry reveal fire arms in the state of Georgia. Now who do you think this law was made to empower.
Now these fools are really going to be shooting random nigga's and say "well I felt threatened, my bad!"

They are trying to pass a bill that will out law sagging pants. So basically if the police see you walking they can just arrest you and harass you. Whats funny is, they have been very general on what will be considered sagging, and the media has neglected to say the the law also applies to women showing their bra straps and the top of their thongs. So no more sundresses ladies. So now you can be stopped and given a full body search as well. Now who do you think this law was made to imprison.

I am done, hope I didn't take up to much of your blog space!

Always admiring your beauty and your willingness to speak your mind,

Jonathan
