Well, I don't post much, but here's the latest:
1. My last computer died in its near entirety. The motherboard essentially gave out on the IDE ports (connects your hard drive[s], optical disc drives, and floppy drives to your PC) as to where my hard drive even short circuited. In addition, the AGP slot (the slot that connects to the video card...your pc is useless without it) made my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB video card useless more and more to the point that an image was barely displayed. So with my $926 income tax return, I ordered new PC parts and am typing on this bad boy now. Here are the specs:
--AMD AthlonX2 5600+ (2.86GHz per core)
--GigaByte AMD Socket AM2 Motherboard w/ NVIDIA nForce 570 Chipset, SATAII, 3Gb/s Data Transfer, Dual PCIe x16 with SLI support
--2GB pc6400 DDR3 Memory at 800MHz clock speed w/ heatsinks
--NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB video card w/ SLI support
--320GB SATAII 7200rpm Hard Drive
--Aluminum/Fiberglass PC Gaming case w/ 6 Fan Support and Blowhole
Everything cost me $928.12, which is just $2.12 over my income tax return. SWEET!
2. Not working at this moment, but was told of an upcoming job opportunity working as a Geek Squad Agent at the Best Buy at Village Crossing in Niles/Skokie. Was told it pays $15/hr. without experience, $18 with. I don't like working on PCs as a profession, but if it pays well, then my complaints don't matter to me!
3. Going on a date later today. I should technically be going to bed, but I'm trying to tweak some stuff on my PC and try playing the games I played before, but now with full graphics!
