Let's jump back to Thursday. Alice woke up at 3:30 AM with a wheeze and some coughing. We go to the ER to get her checked out at 10 AM, head home at 12 PM. All tests come back negative, they decide it's bronchitis.
Saturday morning, Mike and I take her back because the wheezing is even worse. Her mucous tests positive for RSV. We're sent home with a nebulizer.
Sunday evening, Amy takes Alice and I back once again because Alice had a 5 minute long coughing fit where she couldn't breathe properly and started turning a bit blue. After we push at the bitchy ER doctor, another doctor comes in and decides to admit her for overnight observation.
We were finally released this morning. They only took her off of oxygen yesterday at 11:30 AM, but she's done great. Her fever is down, and she's gaining weight like she should. No wheezing, only the occasional coughing. She seems to feel great.
However, I feel like I've been hit by a truck, I am so sick. This makes taking care of Alice just that much more awesome right now.
I need a daytime sniffling, sneezing, sore throat, "screw it, I don't want to get up in the morning anymore" medicine.
