Most Houstonians will remember the tragic quadruple murder of four Clear Lake
teenagers on July 18, 2003. It was a case that generated the largest information
reward fund in Crime Stoppers history, and put Clear Lake, Texas (a rather
quiet, middle class, Houston community) under the microscope of the national
media.
Tiffany Rowell, 18, Adelbert Sanchez, 21, Marcus Precella, 19, and
Rachael Koloroutis, 18, were having pizza and watching TV when two intruders
broke into the house and brutally killed them, seemingly without motive or
provocation. Family, friends, and police desperately sought answers, but no
answers could be found. Now, six years later, the case is finally
closed.
At the request of the parents of Rachael Koloroutis, Jennifer
Grassman recently interviewed with ABC’s 20/20. Having been Rachael’s friend,
Jennifer’s roll was to depict Rachael’s character and the events leading up to
that day from a personal perspective. Jennifer’s song, White Roses, was inspired
by her sorrow at Rachael’s passing.
The 20/20 episode featuring
Jennifer’s interview, and covering the case which had investigators baffled for
years, will air on Friday, September 25, at 9PM Central Time on ABC. Please
check your local listings to verify the time and find your local
station.
In honor of Rachael, now through November 5, you can download an
MP3 of White Roses at
www.JenniferGrassman.com. 100%
of the proceeds will be donated to CRIME STOPPERS in Rachael’s memory. Thank you
so much for your generous support.
