Well for all sorts of reasons this ends up being the first new song from me to see the light of day this year! These things take time someone famous once moaned, and now I'm inclined to agree.
The title is in reference to the late genius director Louis Malle's documentary Phantom India. The song itself was something I thought might be good enough for a b-side if I could be bothered to finish it. About half way through recording though I decided that it'd become a bit better than I first thought and so I will probably stick it out in the next few months on a new E.P.
I easily have enough songs to put one out, but don't really want to just put out what now feel like very old tracks. So instead I'll finish off The Black Museum (which is in a just started condition), and pick two old songs to make up a four track E.P. to come out during the summer at some point. The E.P. will be called Le Corbeau (if you know your films, then you'll understand why). Anyway that's all I have to report now, so I hope you like the new song.
See you at the movies,
Lawrence

new ep called Le Corbeau? It will be an uptempo, uplifting affair then ;-)
I look forward to it and you're right it did become something more than a b side.
