MANNY HERE!!
SXSW! Or South By South-West, to those who are allergic to abbreviations. Where to begin? Well, this is the first trip overseas where we’ve taken a bigger band. This being myself, Jamie and Frank of course, and willing hostages, the incomparable Matt Cate to play the Stringed Twanger, and magniforous Tarek Smallman on Pounded Skinboxes. It was great to hit the US so we could play some of our new material to some music industry over there. It was pretty crazy with 1900 other bands playing in town.
Our first, ultra-short 25 minute showcase was in the bar Prague, where we played really well, but struggled to get a decent sound through the sound system which was not happy about having our oh-so fat basslines put through it. A bit like your grandpa trying to play drum and bass on a gramophone. Had a decent little crowd tho, and afterwards all pre-gig nerves were extinguished.
In between the drinking and hunting for food in town, I managed to catch Graham Coxon’s acoustic showcase with Matt and Tarek. Big fan of Blur and his solo stuff, so I can now die happy. Matt introduced me to the lovely songstress Amy Vee and her dad Mike who is the foremost John Farnham impersonator in the known universe. We all wandered off to try our luck at getting into the Peter, Bjorn and John showcase, but due to the queue, ended up watching Ben Harper of all people and drinking merrily away into the night. The other guys managed to check out PJ Harvey, Cold War Kids, Late of the Pier, Echo and the Bunnymen and heaps of other bands.
The Aussie BBQ day was a fantastic and beer fuelled - well until by the time we played when it had all run out. Oh well…, Highlights for me include The Drones (lovely people), The Boat People, Temper Trap, and My Disco. . It was great to play alongside some great Aussie bands overseas - it was such a rare opportunity and quite fun.
The following day was spent exhausted in airports and hotels as Jamie, Frank and I nipped across the border to Juarez,. One 3-hour flight delay later, and we were picked up by our old buddy Ricardo at El Paso airport for our drive over the border Juarez has had massive problems with drug mafia and corrupt local Police killing each other in the last year, so we were a bit anxious, but we arrived to find the whole city under the Mexican Army’s rule, which kinda made us feel safer. Our manager was a bit worried about us going but we had so many of our Mexican fans hitting our Myspace wanting us to come back again that we decided to take the risk. Hey we were up for a bit of an adventure as long as we didn’t come back in body bags which was very unlikely in our very capable promoters hands! The gig itself was great, and had about a thousand mad locals jumping around everywhere. That helped the energy level a little! So did tequila.
To be continued…

Hey Guys,
INFUSION have been announced as part of the Smirnoff Experience happening in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Playing alongside DJ Yoda, Jedi Knights our friends Tom Middleton and Goodwill together with the gorgeous and talented Miss. Kristy Peters...Wethinks this is going to be a pretty banging party and a chance for us to play some of the new tunes we have been working on.
We are very excited and a tad impatient in unveiling our spankingly brand new show to the lucky few which includes a bigger band on stage and visuals courtesy of John Warwicker and Pod Film production. John Warwicker was one of the founding members of the seminal design company Tomato responsible for the amazing visual shows over the past decades for Underworld - so we are pretty stoked about that and it is looking pretty f****** hot right now!!
To get your hands on tickets the only way in is to win - so head to www. thewayin. com. au.
For the unlucky ones dont worry we are working on a national tour soon off the back of our new single which is soon to be released so keep your ears peeled for that.. not too much longer to wait now.. I know we have been teasing you for WAY too long now...
x

Hello friends!
Ok, trust us: we REALLY are in the very final stages of making this album, just fine tuning and mixing now. We are so very proud of how it's all coming together and we think you'll be damn happy with the results if you've been a fan of our work so far.
Just a taste of what to expect: thumping bass sounds underpinning some big rocked-out vocals. Smooth, summery house grooves. Tribal drumming mixed with vintage drum machines and crazy horn sections and some loud, brash, futuristic anthems. Basically, we think the songs are stronger, the beats are louder and the whole thing is just a hell of a lot of fun. We like to think this album really is the best of all three of us playing and having fun together.
We're also very excited about planning a new stage show to meld perfectly with the new material. We want to make the new shows something really different and special next year so look out for our national tour some time next year.
For those of you who cant wait, we decided to do a few shows for some of our friends. Look out for us at the following shows:
St Petersburg, Russia which will just be nuts Ministry of Sound Festival in Perth Summerdayze in Melbourne on New Years Day and the the following week, Summerdayze in Perth and Kiss my Grass in Melbourne on Australia Day
After that, we'll hopefully be rolling out a new single and then finally the brand spanker of a new album. So come along to the shows and check out our new stuff!
thanks for your patience, guys, and we'll see you at the shows!
the infusion boys x
