Current mood:  bouncy
Introversion Software is delighted to announce that our fourth game Multiwinia is finished, and is ready for release!

The demo is now available for download from our Multiwinia website.

You can buy the game from our store and play the full game right away - we offer immediate digital downloads and we can also ship boxed copies to your house. You should also check out our limited edition Multiwinia Tin, which includes Multiwinia, Darwinia, two foam colour Darwinians, and a wonderful colour coffee table book exploring the art behind Darwinia and Multiwinia over six years of development. Visit our store to take a look.

In other excellent news, Eurogamer have posted their review of Multiwinia, giving us 8 out of 10! Click here to read it. Here are our favourite quotes:

Click into its leftfield groove and Multiwinia provides a quirky but devilishly compelling distillation of all that strategy games can be - rich, deep and compressed into intense digestible chunks. Yummy.
Oh, Introversion. Gaming needs you now, more than ever...

Welcome to the last instalment of Multiwinia Mondays!

We hope you have enjoyed the last six weeks and are now fully prepared for the release of Multiwinia: Survival of the Flattest on 19th September at 6pm BST (British Summer Time)!

We're sad to see Multiwinia Mondays end but what a great way to finish with our final, most chaotic and challenging game mode yet!

Assault is one of the most advanced game modes within Multiwinia and certainly not for the faint hearted.

The beach landing in Saving Private Ryan best illustrates the idea behind Assault mode.

One team defends a heavily guarded bomb that will explode within a set time period, whilst the other team must attack and try to capture and destroy the bomb before it detonates.

The attacking player receives a constant flow of reinforcements whilst the defending player is incredibly heavily armed, but with a limited population.

The key here for the attacking team is to be persistent and continue to push your reinforcements through the defence – the challenge for the defending team is to hold them off for as long as possible.

The winner is the team who manages to attack or defend successfully within the set time.

Sound easy? Well it's not but don't let that put you off. Great epic battles throughout history have taken place in the very same way!

..

Here is the final set of collectable cartoon images created by our very own Uncle Rick.  Thanks Uncle Rick!
 They're back!
   And they're bouffant!

And finally, we present the last selection of screen shots which will be available to own in print within the artbook which comes as part of our Limited Edition packs.

Check the Introversion store (http://store.introversion.co.uk) to find out more about these.

On a final note, we would like to thank everyone for tuning in every week for Multiwinia Mondays and we hope you enjoy playing Multiwinia as much as we have enjoyed working on it.

Thank you!

Welcome to our fifth and penultimate Multiwinia Monday!

This week we're taking a look at Blitzkrieg – a mode with a basic premise not dissimilar from a game of join-the-dots!

You start with a 'home' flag and your aim is to capture all the flags which link your own home flag to your opponent's home flag.

If you manage to capture your enemy's home flag, whilst successfully defending your own, then you win the game.

With massive gun defences surrounding your home flag and continual reinforcements to your Multiwinia army, flag sites quickly become areas of chaos and carnage!

IGN returns this week with the final instalment of their IV retrospectives.

This week we focus on all things Multiwinia related – the game's initial conception, development and lead up to launch, plus a sneak look into what comes next for the IV team post.

Here the fifth instalment of Uncle Rick's cartoons:
 They're back!
   And they're barbaric!

Don't miss our last Multiwinia Monday next week where we'll be looking at Assault – the most difficult and violent of all Multiwinia's game modes!

Plus make sure you check back next Monday to read IGN's worldwide exclusive review of Multiwinia – this will be your first chance to read what the journalists really think!

Well folks, another Monday arrives, and we are back once again with the fourth instalment of Multiwinia Mondays.

This week we're taking a look at a new game mode which you probably haven't heard much about in the press, as it wasn't included in the preview code we sent out.

This is the place to be to find out everything about our fourth game mode Rocket Riot!

Click here to see a bigger version of this image

So what's the basic premise?

Each team has a giant rocket, and in order to win you must refuel and occupy the rocket, and perform a successful launch before your rivals get the same idea.

At any point during these phases the rocket is extremely vulnerable to explosions so you need to watch out for attacking enemy armies at all moments!

I'm also delighted to present the second instalment of IGN's Introversion retrospective. Picking up from where we left off on their first video, this next film looks at the highs and lows of Darwinia's development, that legendary night at the IGF awards (park benches notwithstanding) and the subsequent overwhelming success of DEFCON's launch.

Here's the next instalment of Uncle Rick's cartoons on a theme of Multiwinians behaving badly...
 They're back!
   And they're bingeing!

...and a lovely set of new screenshots - enjoy!

Join us next week for our penultimate Multiwinia Monday where we'll be taking a closer look at Blitzkrieg. In the meantime, on the behalf of the entire team here at IV, I'd like to extend a big thank you to all those who have shown their support and pre-ordered their copy of Multiwinia!
