Due for release in early 2010, both Darwinia and Multiwinia will be released under one package called Darwinia+.
When we first started Introversion back in 2001, the idea of developing our games for a console seemed an impossible challenge, and whilst we have built a fantastic community around our PC games, and will continue to support that, it has always been our dream to take the next step and produce a console title. Multiwinia is the natural conclusion of what we started with Darwinia and, with the launch of Live Arcade, Microsoft has presented us with a fantastic opportunity to get onto a rung of the console ladder. We're really looking forward to introducing Darwinia+ to a whole new audience.

In other excellent news, Eurogamer have posted their review of Multiwinia, giving us 8 out of 10! Click here to read it. Here are our favourite quotes:
Click into its leftfield groove and Multiwinia provides a quirky but devilishly compelling distillation of all that strategy games can be - rich, deep and compressed into intense digestible chunks. Yummy. Oh, Introversion. Gaming needs you now, more than ever...

..tr> ..tr>Welcome to our fifth and penultimate Multiwinia Monday! This week we're taking a look at Blitzkrieg – a mode with a basic premise not dissimilar from a game of join-the-dots! You start with a 'home' flag and your aim is to capture all the flags which link your own home flag to your opponent's home flag. If you manage to capture your enemy's home flag, whilst successfully defending your own, then you win the game. With massive gun defences surrounding your home flag and continual reinforcements to your Multiwinia army, flag sites quickly become areas of chaos and carnage! .. Click here to view a higher-res version of this video on the IGN site. IGN returns this week with the final instalment of their IV retrospectives. This week we focus on all things Multiwinia related – the game's initial conception, development and lead up to launch, plus a sneak look into what comes next for the IV team post. Click here for the first and second instalments of IGN's retrospectives.

Plus make sure you check back next Monday to read IGN's worldwide exclusive review of Multiwinia – this will be your first chance to read what the journalists really think! Our thanks to Qurios Entertainment Ltd and Soho Street Furniture for the making of the Multiwinia Mondays videos. | | |
