Hello Gainesville,
It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce this Saturday, April 26, 2008, Inuit Jargon will be playing their final show. It will be at Market Street Pub. Inuit Jargon was an excecptional man, and will be missed. Your attendance will be greatly appreciated. Admission is $6.
If you would like to make a donation on Inuit Jargon's behalf, please visit www.deadeskimo.seal, where you can learn more about this terrible condition, which affects one Inuit Jargon every four years.

Things are heating up in Jargon Country!
1. We have a free show coming up at the Orange and Brew on February 7th (this Thursday) with Morningbell and …And this is my Odyssey.
2. We've been recording the (as yet untitled) 2nd Inuit Jargon album with Eric and Travis from Morningbell. If it turns out like we think it will, it's going to be so much better than the first one — if you can imagine that!
3. We need a name for the new album! If you have any suggestions, let us know.

Finally a Sidebar show I had fun at! - We played Wacky Willy for the first time
- Most of the things that we ( I ) messed up looked like they were on purpose.
- People actually really responded to Dick Tiddy
- Andrew did a really cool ending thing to My Cool Robot that surprised me.
- I got to see some Lauris Vidal and Bang Bang Boom and hang out with Eric, Stacie and Travis
There were so many cool people at this show: Someone told me that for their birthday party they decided to come to our show. There was a girl from Japan there who was a UF study abroad student who kept just repeating things like "You were good!" and "I like your band!" It was fun. Everyone was so nice So in conclusion: The Jargon is going international. See on next summer's world tour of the United States and one girl's house in Japan. -Shaun

...was a success! We had a lot of fun celebrating their new cd with them, as well as 3 seasons of awesome with you!
Come out to the Orange and Brew on Monday night (3/5) to see the infamous Unofficial Inuit Jargon Cover Band! The Shitty Beatles are also performing that night, so that should be fun, I mean, everyone likes the Beatles.

Back in April, for those of you who follow the news section on our website, you will recall that Shaun sent a copy of our album to Dr. Demento, the radio DJ who specializes in novelty songs and is most noted for launching Weird Al's career. Well, as it turns out, the doctor actually played us back in August, I just happened to find it on the net now. On August 20, 2006, "Goin' to the Beach" was aired on the syndicated Dr. Demento show! In fact, it was even played in the same block of songs as Weird Al! Wow!
You can check out that show's playlist here.
Thanks Shaun! And thank you Dr. D!

We have finished recording the Christmas album, entitled "Inuit Jargon Presents: A Very Jargon Christmas." We're working on some album art and then should have it up to download from our website and through a podcast from Orange Records. Keep an eye open! And then give us cookies and milk.

Bada bing my babies! April 1st is quickly approaching and you know what that means!!! Inuit Jargon's new CD Hot from the Oven is released onto an eager world at a show that will easily make all other music shows in Gainesville for the rest of the year superfluous. Special guests "The Jargonauts" are teaming up with the Jargon play our CD all the way through. Expect costume changes and other special guests. We're also releasing our DVD that night, too. Oh baby... and it's only gonna be $2 bucks. Try that one on for size. ________ Tentative merch prices $8 CDs | $10 shirts | $2 DVDs | $1 posters separately Those purchasing the "Platinum Inuit Jargon prize pack" (A shirt, CD, and DVD) can come away only spending $18 dollars (that's getting a DVD for free people). _______ Select Start the awesome video-game-music-on-classical instruments band will be on promptly at 10pm. And fearsome foursome Morningbell will be closing out the night after our set. And yes there is one error on the album. On Jada Pinkett Smith, the line "Heat up the pan, you know I'm your deep-fried sausage man" was changed to "...you know I'm your deep-fried lover man" I doubted any of our parents would have appreciated the original line. Whyrrd, Shaun "Inuit Jargon: We fill up empty noises with full noises." - Matt Ruecker
