Current mood:  sad
Category: News and Politics
---------- September 11th lyrics dedication:----------

I'd do anything
Just to bring you
Back here

I can't bear the pain
Of losing you

All the way
To heaven

Now that you're gone
The world feels
All shades of grey

Tell them to let you
Fly back down
Here
Make them let you go

My love

Don't cross that gate
I'm begging
Don't cross their bridge

Just hold my hand
And I'll never let go
I promise
I do

No matter how cold

I dedicate the lyrics of "Crossing" to our loved ones who have moved on to heaven and whose memories continue to live in our hearts. God bless treasured friends and family.

Hi Future MySpace Friends:

First of all, I am VERY honored and grateful to Bad Camera (featuring the lovely singer, Hope) for giving ISEcream the thumbs up in their recent bulletin and have been diligently checking out the profiles of future MySpace Friends.  The only glitch is a technical one: For some reason, several profiles popped up as Profile Deleted/No Longer Exists therefore I started deleting those only to find that when I returned to the Friend Request Manager some of them were then showing up as completely existent.

I did not see any requests so far today that I intended to deny therefore if your request was deleted, please re-send.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience, honored that you visited & enjoyed ISEcream's music enough to input a Friend Request, and I look forward to our being MySpace Friends!

I'm keeping my ears open for songs led by male vocalists that have the same impact on me and will add them when I find them.  I think we're probably all more struck by what we can relate to most therefore my theory is that in general men are more affected by male-led songs...  Enjoy listening to music, enjoy singing, enjoy dancing, enjoy living, enjoy sharing!

The history of the lovely Ye Banks and Braes o' Bonnie Doon, based on the River Doon, is at:

http://www.ayrshirepaths.org.uk/histdoon.htm

The traditional lyrics are based on the poem by Robert Burns:

Ye banks and braes o' bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu' o' care?
Thou'lt break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That wantons thro' the flowering thorn:
Thou minds me o' departed joys,
Departed, never to return.

Aft hae I rov'd by bonnie Doon,
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilka bird sang o' its love,
And fondly sae did I o' mine.
Wi' lightsome heart I pu'd a rose,
Fu' sweet upon its thorny tree;
And my fause lover stole my rose,
But, ah! he left the thorn wi' me.

The 1st verse that SC wrote that are not in the current recording are:

There was a night

Full of joy

With people dancing everywhere

And when I saw your hand to take

A striking figure you did make

You filled my heart

With laughter and fun

We soon forgot about everyone

And then the sun came up again

With more memories as best friends

Howdy Friends!

The tequila song to which our friend, Jack Kincaid, refers in his October 18th comment is:

Tequila on my lips
Tequila Tequila
Tequila on my tongue
Tequila

Tequila for just one
Tequila Tequila
Tequila almost done
Tequila

Oh Tequila I can feel you
I can feel you on my tongue

Tequila I can tell
I can tell you're almost done

Oh Tequila how I want you
And I love you even more
I'll have to get you from the store

And then maybe I could buy another drink...
Or even more!

It's one of the very first songs I ever wrote, and as you may guess not in the most lucid state, so don't hold it against me even if a recording of it is posted here one tequila-inspired evening!

Howdy!  This is SC of ISEcream (known as Special Agent Kessandra Oliver inside Altered: Sanctuary).  Just wanted to let y'all know that to date it is almost always me managing this account.  Sometimes another ISEcream person may do so, particularly Sam (Altered: Sanctuary's Coalition of the Unfinished leader, Giancarlo Falconi) or Sandra (ISEcream office administrator) at which times they will sign accordingly or just as 'ISEcream'.

Of course this is a music-based networking account therefore we can not manage it as closely as a personal email-based account but we check every MySpace profile before adding it to our growing network of friends, and we make every effort to respond to messages.

We do not try to verify celebrity identities although we do make the effort to ensure that no one using a celebrity's name in their profile is doing so in an offensive manner (for example taking the opportunity to make fun of the celebrity's fans for appreciating that person).  Also we try to make sure that adult language & imagery in a profile is sequestered (e.g. into a clearly labeled Blog).  Last but not least, we keep an eye toward establishing MySpace Friends with overlapping interests such as in ambient music or Science Fiction TV.

If we don't add a profile, it just means that we didn't identify a high degree of overlap between our worlds (not that we don't appreciate the style of music associated with the profile, etc.).  When we do add a musical profile, it does mean that among other things we truly dig your music!

I personally have no doubt that it is due to the care and attention that we put into this wonderful network that such a high percentage of our MySpace Friends actually enjoy our music (according to the Friends to Listens ratio, etc.).  As long as time requirements allow me to continue being a major contributor to this site, I will always be happy to continue building our network one friend at a time to strengthen this genuine community of people who enjoy regularly visiting ISEcream here at MySpace.

Thank you for being an ISEcream friend!
