Last year we called upon you to volunteer as part of the All At Once community. Thousands of volunteers participated in nonprofit events all over the world, showing that an individual action, multiplied by millions, creates global change.
This summer, President Obama is asking all Americans to serve their country as part of the United We Serve campaign. The United We Serve campaign is one of the key on-going initiatives from the White House designed to make it easy to get involved, to build communities, and move the nation forward.
www.serve.gov provides opportunity for citizens to easily get involved in their individual communities nationwide, as part of this historic summer of service.
“We need your service, right now, at this moment in history. I’m not going to tell you what your role should be; that’s for you to discover. But I am asking you to stand up and play your part. I am asking you to help change history’s course.” -- President Obama, 4/21/2009

For years he would voluntarily put his life on the line to experience these brief moments of bliss. Luckily for the rest of us, someone put a camera in his hand - Jack Johnson.
Waimea Shorebreak surfer, turned art photographer, Clark Little, announces a self published Photography book and a summer slideshow from Sao Paulo to Seal Beach.
Compiled under the working title, The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little, the book got off to a nice start when World Champion Kelly Slater and North Shore surfer/musician Jack Johnson quickly and generously wrote forewords praising Clark for capturing those “brief moments of bliss” that all surfers experience in a blaze of adrenalin.
$1 from the sale of each book will be donated to Jack Johnson’s Kokua Hawaii Foundation.
For more info and to get a peek at some of Little’s work check out his website.

Jack's music is truly out of this world. Literally. On Wednesday, the seven astronauts aboard space shuttle Atlantis chased down the Hubble Space Telescope for a repair mission. NASA roused the astronauts just after 5:00 a.m. EDT (0900 GMT) with the song "Upside Down" by Jack Johnson, a tune selected for mission specialist Megan McArthur, who snared Hubble with Atlantis' robotic arm during yesterday's capture.

Jack and Friends play at the 2nd Annual KEIKI KOKUA DAY to Celebrate Students
A Classroom Garden, Rain Barrels, Banning Styrofoam Lunch Trays, Recycled Fashion and more! These projects are just a few of the creative environmental Kokua Earth Action Projects that were recognized at this year's Keiki Kokua Day this past Friday, April 24th. Although the Kokua Festival took a hiatus this year, the 2nd annual Keiki Kokua Day continued on. Over 800 students, parents and teachers from 13 school groups across the island of Oahu spent the morning at the Polynesian Cultural Center participating in hands-on environmental activities, viewing slideshows of each other’s Kokua projects, tasting local foods and healthy snacks, and visiting interactive booths.
The event culminated with a private concert for the students by Kokua Hawai'i Foundation co- founder Jack Johnson. Johnson was joined on stage by fellow Kokua board member, Kawika Kahiapo, and musical friends Zach Gill and the Banana Slug String Band.
