Hi Guys,
Before I head into a week of songwriting at a Writers Retreat here in Nash I wanted to take a moment to let you know that Lanae Hale's cd comes out TODAY!!
I have loved getting to know Lanae's and listening to her sing on the Christmas tour every night was a highlight of the evening. Not only is Lanae an amazing songwriter and great singer but what I love most is her heart for God. It has been such a joy to get to know her more, share our hearts over smoothies and now see her full length cd come out today!
The label I am on is giving away tons of FREE copies of this at most local Christian bookstores or on-line this first week it is out.
Hope you can check this out and pick up a copy. My favorite song on the cd is called

Hey friends,
Hope you are all doing great. It has been a wicked awesome week here in the Boston, MA area. I think my accent has come back. I just love being back home even if no one uses the letter "R" in their words.*smile*
Daniel Kirkley ( my label mate on Centricity Records) and I just finished our first week of tour dates. I want to thank everyone who came out to the concerts. What great crowds we had.
Some of the highlights have been seeing my family, I really miss my mom, dad and sister! We also had one day off that we went to my old stomping grounds, Berklee College Of Music and walked around Newbury Street and maybe did a little bit of shopping. Just a little:)
It has been so fun meeting new people who are listening to the music and seeing folks who have been out to concerts in this area come out again. New friends and old friends...gotta love it. Daniel and I are excited to tweak our set a little bit and try some new songs out on this year's tour. Still trying to find a great duet song if you have any suggestions please let me know.
It has been pretty interesting seeing my southern friend adapt to New England way's. I have noticed a few words coming out with a Boston accent along with him almost getting on the wrong subway or we call it "T" in Boston. My grammie made her homemade Italian food on Mothers Day and it was fun to watch someone new experience that amazing goodness for the first time. DK has probably had 10 meat balls since Sunday:)

     Hope you are all having a good weekend! It's been a busy few weeks for me. The day after GMA week ended I was off to MN to sing at a conference then onto KS to sing at a womans conf and do a mini Modest Is Hottest! What a blast both those events were...loved meeting new people and seeing some old friends I have met on the road as well:) This weekend I have been apart of my local churches woman's conference..tomorrow 3 services to lead worship at and then.....drum roll please****** Daniel Kirkley (one of my label-mates on Centricity Records) and I will be heading to New England for our first leg of The Moments Of Worship Tour! I am so excited to get back to the Boston area and do several shows as well. Hope you are all off to a good week. Every year about this time the Gospel Music Association ( www.gospelmusic.org) hosts a week for the Christian music industry to come together in Nashville, TN. Lot's of Christian radio stations, retailers, concert promoters,record labels, media folks and Christian artists/bands come together in Nashville.
It is a wonderful time to reconnect with old friends.....today I bumped into Denise and Leigh of Point Of Grace and got to visit with them for a bit..Miss and Love these girls!:) It was wonderful to catch up and hear all the Lord is doing in and through them. You have got to check out their new music and sound. SO GOOD!
I have also gotten to reconnect with lot's of radio folks for interviews and some catch up time. I was so humbled to hear some of them share stories about listeners calling in and talking about a song I wrote a few years ago and how it has touched there lives in some way .I love that God know's when we need some encouragement and man that story really touched my heart:)
I got to meet some really wonderful new people the past few day's and make some new friends as well in this industry.. Loved seeing my sweet friend Francesca Battistelli ( Praying she takes home lot's of Dove Awards Thurs) and she introduced me to Merideth Andrews. After Facebooking a little bit it was GREAT to meet her and get to hug her and tell her how much I love her music. She is one annointed singer/ worshipper if you have not yet checked her out make sure to check out her cd:)
I did have a moment yesterday in the radio reception where I was a bit star struck....actually that is not the right words....I saw someone I really admire, look up to, and worship along with her music many day's...Kari Jobe. I am kicking myself that I did not walk over and say hello but there were a ton of people surrounding her and well...I probably would have said something silly like..I'm your biggest fan can we be friends..haha
It was really fun to hear the newer Centricity Artists perform last night at the Centricity Showcase. They were all WONDERFUL and it is so amazing to see the Centricity music group grow a ton this year! 5 new acts!! You can check them out at www.centricitymusic.com
I have a feeling you are gonna be hearing alot about all these folks and there music!

After a very full day....talking about my muisc, sharing my story and meeting lot's of new people and catching up with the old I am still left with this prayer....
At the end of the day....all I wanna know is that the heart of God is pleased!!

Hope you are all doing well. I want to apologize to anyone that might have been exposed to the awful SPAM that hit my message board on my website. We have taken that feature down until this problem can be fixed. It saddens my heart to think that we live in a time where such filth can invade anything...even a message board where lot's of teen girls have found new friendships and grown in their love for God.
It was a reminder to me of the times we are living in. I want to be ready for whatever the Lord has in store for this generation.
