What happened to the days when I was staying up all hours of the night working on cars with my brother, getting ready for a racing weekend. Those days are long gone. Now instead of assembling big blocks and  painting cars, I am assembling bunk beds and puting up closet organizers all in the name of MORE ROOM.  Trust me if there is a way to make more room in this house we will find it. This is all sumed up in one word.    TRIPLETS!
 The shock factor has went away for me but for the rest of you, one more time...........

 TRIPLETS!!! 

My wife would just spew this word out randomly trying to get me to react.  It worked, I may not of showed it on the outside MUCH, but it did get me. Now its no big deal, 3, 4 , why not make it 6...........

No scratch that, have you seen the show" Jon and Kate plus 8"  We DO NOT need  8 kids.  If you have never seen the show just give it a watch sometime. I know every guy watches it and so simpathizes with the guy and every woman watches it and does the opposite. But to see Kate's controlling nature over EVERYTHING just gets to be to comical. So comical you almost want to strangle her. (joke)  But I would have thought anyone with more than one kid would know you can't control everything.............

Well we are 4 months along and everything is looking great. All three babies are snug, hitting and kicking each other in the womb (not a whole lot of room in there). We have ultra sounds and your looking at one baby and then your like" Well what is that????", and then its like "Oh thats another head"  or foot or hand or fill in the blank, there are 3 of everything! hehe  But its going great, I can't wait to see what they all are. We are going down to the cities for all our important appointments. The people at Abbott are great. Everything is going good and I hope all is well for all my friends out there. I have a few funny stories to share some time but now is not the time.  So off to my laundry............

Well Thanksgiving is over, combat shopping is done, and out whole family knows about our doctor's visit. They all know we are pregnant.   They also know the biggest news of all...................................................... WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TRIPLETS!!!!!!!!!!!!    Not twins, triplets.............. I will just let you sit on that one for a sec..............

 It is still really early and alot can happen but right now we have three embryos. Wednesday we go in to see if they all have heartbeats. We could end up with 3, or 2, or 1, or even 0. Like I said it is very early and alot can happen, so lets keep our fingers crossed,  and if everything goes good, and they are all girls so I can start a hockey team! So that is our big news!  I am excited, it will be tough but we will do this. I am sure there is more news to come.

Well at first thought I figured this should be about ULTRA sounds. Like Black Sabbath "Paranoid", or Megadeth "Symphony or Destruction", or Metallica "Seek and Destroy.  But this isn't about music.

  Its about ultrasounds. yes thats right....     ultrasounds............. Thats right, the jelly on the belly with the little screen with all the fuzz. Our first ultrasound. Well not our "FIRST" ultrasound. Our first (for this pregnancy)  ultrasound. And we are told we may have twins! Also I should specify its not really OUR ultra sound. My wife is the one getting it. Me, I get to watch. I don't think me getting an ultrasound would be to thrilling. But then again I have been wondering what is pushing my belly out so much. I may be 4 or 5 months pregnant, hard to tell.............

But yeah, Ultrasound tomarrow. I am excited! Hoping for twins (girl and boy), but what ever it is or no matter how many  there is, I will be happy. I should note its to early to see if it or they are boy(s) or girl(s). So who knows, I may post the results or I may keep them to myself. You may have to beg and grovel to get me to spill it. Noone knows.............

So I see SNL last saturday and see this band, Feist...... SO I listen to them perform "1234" and I say to myself, she sounds canadian. You know that sound of every woman from canada has. Its hard to explain. Well I was right, she is from canada. Which then leads me to another dilema, why is it that I thrive off of metal music but yet this song just makes me feel so good when I hear it. Where have my balls gone????????

Anyways, house is coming along. Living room is all tore up. Hopefully will be back together in a couple of weeks. should post pictures when its done. Hopefully get into blogging more too. We got some great news to share, but we will wait till thanksgiving to let the cat out of the bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in a month we leave for Vegas for 5 days. We have been looking at attractions and shows. Seeing what we want to do and see, and frankly I can't wait!!!!! This getaway has been long over do. I am a little nervous about the plane ride but I will get over it.
 
Our luggage got here today. I never thought I would ever need luggage but I am glad I do. I hope this is just a start on the many trips yet to come. Europe here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the kitchen floor is done, minus the quarter round and 2 tiles that have to be very elaberately cut. But all and all its done. Looks decent, will look much better when the rest of the cabinets are refinished.

Where do I begin................................... Its been a little while since I have written. I am tryng to bust my ass at work and try to get this house remodel done so this place can go up for sale. Yes, once it is finished it will be time to move.......... I know it doesn't make any sense but its off to bigger and better places.  I will have to put up some pictures of the kitchen in progress and some when its finished. 

Anyways the real reason I am writing this (as if anyone reads it) is my ten year high school reunion................... Do I really want to go......... I am not sure. I mean you run into some of these people in bars and stuff and its like they were your best buds when in reality back in the day they wouldn't give you the time of day unless you were where they could not be seen with you. There is a few people I wouldn't mind seeing but all and all I never fit in with that crowd. Everyone was "better" than me. Now what the definition of "better" was, I am not sure. I never fit in with the jocks, I didn't play any sports. I never fit in with the smart kids, they made more fun of me than anyone else.  I am sure they all have very important jobs somewhere. I thought that I spent 2 years in tech school and now  make well over 60,000 a year I figured that was pretty good, but then I realize I don't want this to be a competition, thats not what this is about, but I have this feeling that thats all this reunion thing is, is a measure of how well your doing better than everyone else.................

Why can't it be just like "hows it going?"  sort of thing. And share funny stories about your kids and all the stupid shit you did after high school. Then that would make it to simple. Maybe I am over analizing this. I just can't make up my mind  if we should go or not. 

So where am I going with this..........Not sure. Like I have said before, I like these to be light hearted and maybe a little humorous, but sometimes I need to get stuff off my chest. This has been bugging me for a while and I am not sure why. I guess us wanting to move to Grand Rapids makes me think of a bunch of people I don't want to run into. Most everyone has moved away so I am pretty safe. So I am not sure what bugs me about it all.

Anyways I will be working in the rain tomorrow so I should be off to bed soon.

So I am a new (as in the last 2 years) Barenaked Ladies fan, my wife being a hardcore BNL Fan. The more I hear these guys I love them and their talent. Ed Robertson from the band is doing  what he is calling "bathroom sessions" and this proves to me that he has more talent in his little finger than any lipsyncing pop floosey.

BNL KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this guy at work has Sirius in his service truck so we all listen to it and we listen to this channel called buzzsaw. Well its all 70's, 80's hard rock. So I am really enjoying it and trying to make some mental notes on songs that I really like. Most of them I can only figure out the name of the song but not the artist and since I can't just sit in his truck and listen to it to see what the artist is I make notes about song titles.
        SO........... I come home and sit down to search for "said" songs.................. And I come back with BILLY F***ING SQUIER for five of them. Now don't get me wrong, these in my opinion are really good songs but can I face my friends and tell them that I listen to Billy Squier and like him. And I am not talking like "the stroke" I am talking like real Billy Squier songs like "In the Dark" "Rock me tonight" "Lonely is the night". These are classic songs. It songs I listen to and go "Man, why didn't I ever here of this guy before now besides all the smart ass jokes about "the Stroke""  I consider most of my friends really open minded to music and stumble onto stuff that was huge when were were just gleams in our parents eyes or rugrats crapping ourselves.
       But the music quandry doesn't end there. I think alot of us have come to love Quiet Riot for such hits as "Cum on Feel the Noize" (misspelled for a reason). When I fell out of my chair when I found out a sad sad truth.............

          How can we be so naive!!! why didn't our older siblings smack us and say it was better when  so and so did it. By the way 2 of Quiet Riot's hits were cover of a band called Slade who was huge in the UK in the early 70's. Thats right, Cum on Feel the Noize was a hit for them in I believe 1973.  And it doesn't end there.
      I know alot of guys know of Joan Jet and Lita Ford. Well why didn't anyone tell me they were in a band together called "the Runaways"!!!!! Why didn't we get taught this in school. I feel deprived!!!!!! I don't know which way is up and wether the music I am listening to right now is original or just another cover cause half the bands can't write original tunes.............So YES! I listen to BIlly Squier and like it! And to me Quiet Riot is dead! Call me when you hit it big with your own original song!! that may not happen anymore but thats ok.  I am sure there will be more on the subject but for now of to check out some of my other favorite bands...........
