Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Jaribu Afrobeat Arkestra is a 13-piece ensemble that plays its own brand of "Neo-Afrobeat" music and mixes in funk, dance, and jazz-oriented styles.
Inspired by the music of Afro-pop legend Fela Kuti, the band released its debut album in 2009. Jaribu Afrobeat Arkestra returned in 2012 with its sophomore effort, Mediacracy. ~ Matt Collar
