This Halloween join Jars of Clay in a walk for water to raise support and awareness for communities in Africa without access to safe water! Participants join Jars of Clay in a 2 mile round-trip walk while the band shares stories and tells a bit about what Blood:Water is doing to bring clean water to communities in Africa. Walk for Water so they don't have to... Every day, thousands of young Africans must hike miles a day just for access to water. Furthermore, children whose daily chore it is to collect water are often left with no time to attend school. On top of the heavy loads and certain risk of illness from drinking contaminated water, it is estimated that over 40 billion work and school hours are lost every year in Africa to the need of fetching clean drinking water. You can join in solidarity with people in Africa by walking the distance to your nearest natural water source (like a pond or stream) and back to bring back water. A water walk can be a very literal and impactful way to "walk a mile in someone else's shoes." A short discussion will happen at both the water collection point and at the end of the walk led by Jars of Clay. However small this gesture may be for many it has been a galvanizing and implicating experience. Bring your own container to carry to fill with water; for example, milk jugs, gatorade jugs, paint buckets, coolers, etc... suggested amount: 2-5 gallons. For anyone who forgets or just simply shows up Blood:Water will provide additional containers. Maybe even bring your plastic trick-or-treat pumpkin? A donation is NOT required to walk. However, consider having friends and family support your walk. $12 can provide clean water for a child over the course of their school years, and $25 can provide a person clean water for the entire life of a well. For those that don't pre-raise funds they will have an opportunity to donate at the end of the walk or via text message. Date: Saturday Oct. 31st Time: 3:00pm - 4:15pm Location: The Walk will start from the Southeastern entrance of the AZ State Fairgrounds at the corner of N 17th Ave & W McDowell St.
A bonus prize of two FREE tickets to the concert tomorrow night to the person who comes dressed in the most creative Halloween costume.

Sometimes music videos tell stories. This video tells the story of a band's journey to get our own hands dirty. Someone once defined the role of an artist as the act of looking at the world and describing it...not just as the world is... but also as it should be.
There is only so much looking and describing a band can do when faced with injustices, and tragedies... and also the heroic stories of those who rise above their fears and overcome insurmountable obstacles. Two Hands is a song about overcoming our own fears and finding reasons to care about others even when we don't feel equipped to do so.
This video shows our work in Africa with Blood:Water Mission. We hope it inspires you, and allows you to dream about how you can use your two hands to love and serve those around you. And when you are done watching the video... check out www.bloodwatermission.com AND come visit us out on the Creationfest Tour this Fall!"

JARS OF CLAY - OFFICIAL UPDATE Hello friends! We are back out on the road, fresh off of some great dates in the southeast and the Music Boat Cruise. It was fun to play shows on a boat, gaze out on the wondrous Atlantic, and meet some fans and friends at radio. The only dangerous part was the free buffet, 24 hours a day. Boredom = eat more rice pudding. A couple of us even rented scooters in the Bahamas. :) Good stuff, it's been really fun to talk about the new record and see the songs starting to connect in the live setting. We're looking forward to specific live moments that we think will be really special. We hope you can come see us this spring or fall. I'm also excited to announce that Jars is officially headlining Creation Festival: The Tour this fall, and we're very excited about the evening. It's a pretty extensive US Tour, as well as a few Canada shows!! For more info, or to sign up for updates, visit the Creation Festival: The Tour website. "Two Hands" continues to climb at radio, and is being met with great enthusiasm. We love the heart behind it, that it's hard to get out of our comfort zones and serve those around us. However, the pressure doesn't come from being "qualified" or experienced, but just being available. Faith makes so much sense when we are active, serving, getting our hands dirty.
To hear more about our hearts behind "Two Hands" and all of our songs on The Long Fall Back To Earth, check out our "Song-by-song" videos on JarsTV at JarsofClay.com (some of the videos are also posted on our MySpace page). While there, please upload your own Jars of Clay images (in the Photo Feed section) to share with others. There are plenty of ways to keep in touch with us on our website; go ahead, make yourself at home. And don't forget, if you haven't already... we're on Twitter! So sign up! You can follow all of our tweets at Twitter.com.
Matt - @modmarkSteve - @stephendmasonThanks for sticking with us - see you out on the road this year! Rice pudding,

To our fans in Cincinnati:
Due to circumstances which prevent the band from being away from home on May 19th, we are unfortunately forced to postpone next week’s show at The Underground in Cincinnati. We cannot apologize deeply enough for having to move the show a second time. The Underground has graciously worked with us and the show will be rescheduled for July 18th. We are hopeful that those of you who have already purchased tickets will be able to join us. Our friends’ Seabird will be joining us on the re-scheduled show.
Ticket prices have been reduced to accommodate the inconvenience and will now be $12 in advance and $15 at the door on the day of the show.
For those that purchased tickets in advance and are able to attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund for the difference in ticket price.
If you purchased tickets in advance for the show and are not able to, or do not wish to attend the make up date, you can obtain a full refund from iTickets.
We continue to humbly thank you for your support.
