Once again I will be helping out at my first alma mater, Brookdale Community College. From October 24th through October 26th, check out Haunted Theater—a magnificent piece of work created annually by students and staff from the Performing Arts Center. It's a wonderful experience for students, giving both those in the acting field and in the tech field a solid understanding of another side of the entertainment industry. Adult tours run during the evening, and children's tours run during the afternoon. October 24th — Adult Tour — 7pm - 10:30pm October 25th — Children's Tour — 2pm - 4pm October 25th — Adult Tour — 6pm - 10pm October 26th — Children's Tour — 2pm - 4pm October 26th — Adult Tour — 6pm - 9pm

At the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in Manhattan, I will be performing in my 101 graduation show on July 12th at 4pm. Tickets are $5. There are some really gifted improv'ers in this group, so it should be a ton of fun to watch. If you're free, come by!

Been a while since I’ve written here--time to fix that! I’ve been busy saving up money through my survival job, doing freelance web design. I’m get comfortable enough that I think I can afford to start taking a class soon. For now I just want to take one of those broad actor technique classes, as it’s been nearly a year since the last time I was in a class. I’m looking at either going to T. Schreiber or Jason Bennett, as they both charge around the same price for their technique classes. I think what it will really come down to is which one works with my schedule best. I did a film audition a few weeks ago for a local indie film. This was my first film audition, and I noticed a couple of things I need to work on. One is being more aware of the space around me. I really didn’t connect with it; I was far too much into the script to really connect with the environment. I can imagine my awkward movement looked horrible, no matter how well I connected with the other actor or how interesting my choices are. An indie film maker isn’t going to risk casting someone who doesn’t know how to move around a set, you know? They don’t have the money to gamble on a risk like that. Oh, and I don’t think I ever mentioned it here, but I did finally launch my website. It’s still a work in progress, but at least it’s up. Check it out!

Besides being an actor, I also do web design for people in the industry. I have just completed and launched ColleenBrock.com, for professional make-up artist Colleen Brock. Please check out the site if you're looking for a make-up artist for your headshots, photo shoot, or wedding make-up needs! She's fabulous to work with. And if you need a site for yourself and like what you see, send me a message. I'll be happy to help you!

I've uploaded two albums to my pictures page. One is from my most recent show, Six Degrees of Separation, which was performed at the Cabaret Theater in New Brunswick, NJ. This was a terrific show to do, and it gave me the opprotunity to work in a show with an actor and fellow student who's performed on Broadway in Julius Caesar (Steve Jones). The other album is from a show I did two years ago, A Midsummer Night's Dream, with the Brookdale Shakespeare Ensemble in Lincroft, NJ. This was a special show for me, as it brought me together with a wonderful group of actors and crew whom I'll never forget, and most special my current boyfriend of two years now. Hopefully I'll find more images soon, and maybe even a few movie clips!

I'm probably going to create a site for my acting work eventually, but for now here's the Myspace! I might move my "Making It" series from my personal profile's blog over to here at some point. Here's hoping this is the start to something good.
